  3. A good spot for Jew are just east of the spencer caravan park called neverfail. Google it! You can access it land base, great spot. Many different species there too. Hawkesbo prawns are the go, but because of the current, half hitch the prawns with your leader. Makes for better bait presentation! Good luck! Cheers scratchie!!!
  4. That certainly is a great oversized goldfish! I bet you were ecstatic! Good on you for your Ian keirnan effort! It would truly look good in your fish tank! Lol. Well done boss! Cheers scratchie!!!

  14. Hi ace, Firstly your question poses many questions! If you are relatively new to fishing, you've found the right place here on FR. My suggestion would be to read as many posts as you can and use the search function to browse whatever question you have. There is a wealth of info on this site and can make for very useful tips and techniques. Once you have a target fish in mind, read up and spend some time chasing that species. Flathead are a good starting point and there will be plenty of bycatch as well. Good luck and look forward to reading your posts. Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. Thanks for your reply witha! Will certainly try some of those spots! Stay tuned! Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. Lol. Yeah no prob! Well you should know where to go! Don't forget to drift between them to buoys!
  17. G'day raiders, Heading to port mac for a few days camping and I'm going to take the yak with me. Does anyone have any recent info or suggestions where I can throw a line? Thanks in advance! Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Mate they're everywhere in 3-6m of water. Try the sand flats northern side of the jetty at soldiers point. Just outside the anchorage or at Taylor's beach. The important part is the depth of 3-6m. Use prawn or nippers, small running sinker, 40-50cm leader and small shank. Drift in your boat. When the sinker hits the bottom just lift it up about 10-20cm. This will stop you getting it caught on any weed about. With any fishing in the bay keep your bait off the bottom or all you'll end up with is shovel nose sharks! Good luck! Cheers scratchie!!!
  19. Try this link...... http://www.fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.php?showtopic=61749&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1 Cheers scratchie!!!

  22. Cheers tony, my kids enjoy eating them beer battered. And yes I ate the crab, yum! We all had a good laugh at the squid ink!
  23. Trumpeter they are! They are everywhere up here all year round. Bait was just packet prawns. I do usually pump nippers but was a bit lazy this time.
