  1. Not after today's effort. Couldn't catch a cold in the arctic! But I did lead a fellow raider out and he got a 2-3kg snapper on his boat! So many bait fish about and no pelagics! I was very disappointed.
  2. Great stuff jum! That's a total of sux fush I thunk! Well done bro! Chairs scratchie !!!
  3. Nah I'm not that good! Just had the privilege to work these waterways for about 15years and have lived here for the last 2 1/2 years. All my spare time is divided between the kids and fishing and where possible combine the two!
  4. Thanks grandad, and just for your info, the last 3 jewy I caught I gave away! Big mistake, I now get asked for them all the time. The move up here will be the best decision you make in your life! Absolute paradise!
  5. It's alright longy, I learn from everyone else too! I've met some top blokes and when I come to Sydney to fish I don't even need a boat! I enjoy reading everyone's post. Fishing is a school you never graduate from! It's all good!!!
  6. Wow tony! That descriptive report was like the start of a Harry potter novel. Great stuff mate! The world on the water is certainly a different place! Well done! Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. G'day Raiders, There are many raiders that holiday up here at port stephens and are looking for information. Please feel free to ask me any questions you wish regarding locations, rigs, species etc. and I will give you all the current info I can. I have placed all gps marks for the area, in the gps section. These are the marks I use! This does not mean you'll catch fish, it would be some of the places that I fish or intel I have collected from locals which can be a helpful starting point. If you would like me to guarantee you fish, then deposit 1million dollars into my account and we'll stay out there until you do! Lol You never know I might catch up for a fish or you might see me on the water sometime! Look for a Haines hunter named scratchie! But also remember that it takes time to provide feedback and reply to many pm's, so the courtesy of thank you, goes a long way! Cheers scratchie!!!
  8. I'm with Harry. I try doing the same on most trips and now is a timely reminder to do a bit more! Cheers scratchie!!!

  10. Hmmmmmm, voodoo! No problem mate. Message me when it's closer to the time you are up here. The fishing changes around that time so that way my info is more current and relevant. Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. No problem. Anna bay a beautiful place! Pm sent
  12. Funny enough, I haven't seen any bonnies up here for sometime either! I've spent a few fruitless hours trolling for them! Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. I have caught many a fish using both types. I think it's more the anglers ability than anything. However with that said, the hardware on some copies are not as good and has resulted in few big fish lost! When fishing the racks in my area I only ever use copies as the amount of lost lures could make for an expensive day on the water! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Cheers Yern! Got out this morning throwing slugs and plastics. 1 x king 1 x sambo great fight and home by 730am! The kings were everywhere but very fussy! Good to see them showing up in numbers!
  15. Lol.... Bread is the best bait in the world! Well done on the breambo! Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. Yep, use them all the time. Great for areas with a slight current and <20m of water! But as always, use the lightest sinker as possible with them. Gives the bait a more natural drift! Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. Congrats on the kings mate! When you headed up damo? Just starting to hear a few reports from the shelf. With a few beaks being caught over the last week. There was also 420kg tiger landed as well. Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. Sorry to say, but this sort of thing happens all the time in the hawkesbo! The government really needs to buy these guys out. Cheers scratchie!!!
  19. Love the photo of that rod bending! Reminds me of a bcf catalogue! Aghhhhh, kings my nemesis! Congrats on some great fish! Cheers scratchie!!!
