  1. Just brought my boat in for repairs today for the same reason, no matter how hard i tried to free it up it wouldn't budge. The mechanic advised me that it will need to be replaced as the grease has dried up in the cable sheath, my question back is how different is the new cable they will replace it with? Will find out his arvo. (Cable is worth around $200, couple of hours for labour, and they may need to remove the motor!) Not Happy.
  2. Bloody hell, i was told the whole bay was protected by one of the bastards who fined me for having 15 of the tasty buggers in the bag. Now i know, i'll lauch from the other end! I recal my statement to you earlier - Good catch. P
  3. Dude, the actual bag limit for Booderee National Park (JB) is 10 per person per day. They have their own rules! The fines are also pretty steep there, your lucky the authorities didn't catch you out as they are pretty prolific in JB. P
  4. G'Day Guys & Gals Wanting to keep my pride & joy in good nick, is there a professional boat detailer, that can repair minor chips and scrathes in a gel coat boat, and give the whole boat a once over. Giving that its winter and there's alot of doing nothing now, seem to be the right time to prep it for summer. Its a Haines Hunter 470 Breeze 2006 model. Live in the Inner West, Sydney. Cheers Popeyepete
  5. G'Day Fellas Could anyone point me to a stainless fabricator who can make custom Rocket Launchers for my Boat. Is there a guy in Sydney who specialises in these items for boats? Cheers I'm in the Strathfield Area.
  6. Cheers mate, this is exactly what i'm gonna do.
  7. Thanks for the responses, looks like i will need to install a new rodholder forward of the existing one and mount the DR on one of those gimbal mounts. Cheers guys
  8. Cheers mate, the Penn DR comes with an option to mount the rodholder to the casing of the DR. Would this be able to handle the weight and force applied by the fight of a heavy fish?
  9. Looking to purchase a Penn Downrigger, and want to be sure on how its best mounted along with the rod holder position. Is it best positioning the downrigger at 90deg outward from the port/starbord side, 45deg or striaght out of the back? How close does the rod need to be positioned to the downrigger, how are others positioned, post some sample pics. I have a HainesHunter 470 and have no where to mount the downrigger, i will have to use one of the rod holders as the side and back are to narrow to mount anything. Any info or advise will help as i'm busting to get this on and out to gather some kings!!!! Cheers Pete
  10. Cheers mate, i'll give it a go this weekend.
  11. Great catch guys, Where exactly is Bluefish Point? Here so much about the joint, want to give it a go. Cheers
  12. Felt like quite a lazy Jew, didn't fight much, just came up straight to the boat, no big run or nothing. Must of git him whilst asleep.
  13. Found the spray at BCF at Auburn, The new complex that also holds office works. Unfortunately their out of stock, costs $19.95. The guy said they'll have it in a couple of days.
