    Happy Birthday

Thanks guys! 1/4 of a century today After a visit with the dentist today, wisdom teeth come out in 2 weeks - so its true. . . older but none the 'wiser' CHEERS! (now where did i leave that drink?? )
  3. 1267.6 - not far behind ya's, but i'll get you in the next 20 mins
  4. An update on Earth Hour: It was a flying success. . . (and i even got a romantic candle lit dinner - It was a win - win!) "More than 2 million Sydney residents participated in Earth Hour on Saturday night by flicking the switch, turning appliances off stand-by and enjoying an hour of quiet darkness, according to our poll results. The result: an impressive 10.2% drop in energy usage across the usually glittering CBD, according to Energy Australia. This is double the anticipated energy saving and represents a reduction of 24.86 tonnes of carbon dioxide - the equivalent of taking 48,613 cars off the road for an hour!" WELL DONE TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED

  7. Those rotten little so & so's !!! I feel for ya mate. To have your personal space violated and pillaged, especially while you are in it is a very disturbing feeling, prob more so than having your personals stolen as personal items are often replaceable however the urky feeling of some bas***d roaming your house and doing as he likes is an emotional scar that will prob stick around for a while. Few years back someone broke into my mums house in plain daylight & trashed the place but only stole 24 rolls of toilet paper, a box of weet-bix and 12 or so packets of noodles - not to mention fixed himself a feed while he was there - bizarre to say the least as laptops, computers, DVD's etc were all left behind (i imagine some whacked out kid or possibly a homeless person looking for a feed) Also having my car broken into and stereo, speakers and stupidly some jewellery i had left in there purchased the nite before for a soon approaching wedding were all stolen (to get the stereo out, they didn't bother with tools or anything but ripped the whole damn dash out - hope it ruined the stereo for 'em!) [Good Idea to know your neighbours Boof living at our current place for only 6 months at the time, we saved our elderly neighbours house from buring down in the middle of the night (electrical fault in one of the living areas) otherwise they prob would have slept right through it. Oldies, you know. Getting off track now . . . ] Anyway Coollamon, point is these items are replaceable and lucky both you and the missus + the kitty cat are ok as lives are not. Give your wife a kiss and thank your lucky starts you DIDNT disturb them - sounds like they meant business! I hope karma catches up with em REAL SOON, and beats the living s#*! out of em when it does!! All the best mate. Hayley

  9. what a cack! Many of these are BB, so heres a LB story . . . Most embarrassing beach moment (1990 or there abouts) Picnicking at Norah Head (wyong) Dad had just finished a day of fishing and was going back and forth packing up the car. Meanwhile my sister and I were on the hunt for seashells and comparing the different colours of water washed glass thinking they were absolute treasures (as if thats not embarrassing enough) Next thing, were treasure hunting under the concrete boat ramp and both spotted the biggest, prettiest seashell of the day. Raced her for it, but forgot to duck as the ramp got lower and BLAMO! Literally K.O'd myself under the boat ramp. Came too after a minute or so, wondering why the sand around me was all pink, and why there was this strange man standing over me while my sister was staring at me white as a ghost - could have had something to do with the 2inch gash on my head and what she thought were my brains seeping out. Turned out the 'strange man' was the Mr Whippy man! He'd seen what happened and had come down from his van which he was parading on the street above and tried explaining what had happened to my dad who had now returned from the car, as i was lying there in a daze apparently not able to verbalise anything and talking gibberish (so the story goes). Off we went to the ER to get stitched up! Left a lovely scar which remains prominent to this day (Luckily for me, just behind the hairline) Needless to say, sis ended up with that little treasure while i have a permanent reminder to DUCK!

Us girls on the hand reels and mum & dad with their rods. Although the catching was usually small ones for the kids, little girls love catching little fishies. 25. g'day fellow fishos! We ventured up to the Entrance on Sunday and found a nice little spot by the lake, just over the bridge (west side). Theres a small pier there which is often crowded but i found the LB fishing on the shoreline to be just as good. Lots of flatties being caught! Some guys using whiting, some using worms. Personally we were using green prawns and whiting. No catch for me, but alot of the other guys down there did well! Nice piece of coastline none the less, makes a great family day out and about in the local area. Cheers!
