  1. For all types of fish finders. No matter what one?
  2. Hey everyone. I have just recently bought myself my first kayak and so I done the logic thing and bought myself a fish finder. Found a lady selling a brand new one never used pretty cheap. Pounced on the opportunity to buy it so I did. Opened it to start playing around and realised it needed a 12V battery for power. My question is that is this the case for all fish finders or how else do they power?? Need advice ASAP fellas. Cheers

  4. That's exactly right. I actually work for the NRMA. The reason yiur ctp came in so high and they could reduce it is not cause you have been a loyal member for years and we wanna take you for a ride its simply the fact that if you have your ctp with an insurance company and yiur comprehensive with another company. By government law yiur ctp insurer can not assume that you have that motor vehicle insured else where so they have to charge you a rate as if yiur car is uninsured. You simply ring them and tell them your vehicle is comprehensively insured else where and you get a reduced rate. As for the above comment NRMA never wanna be the cheapest cause what do you get for yiur money. If you have an at fault incident with another company MOST of them simply cover the other party. They will not cover the at fault driver
  5. Thanks mate. Appreciate your advice.
  6. Hi mate. Thanks sooo much for the above advice. That's exactly what happened on sat and I was getting extremely frustrated haha. Cheers mate

    Gutters!

Hey I know this probably sounds lame and disappointing but I have never been beach fishing before. I am going tomorrow for the first time and I know to fish gutters. All I hear is gutter. What is a gutter and how do I spot one. Appreciate guys.

  10. Excellent. Absolut champ. Is night preffered? Does tides and moods matter?
  11. Beauty. Thanks mate. How do I get tailor strips if I don't catch tailor? Also where would you recommend. Area wise
  12. Hey everyone. Me and a fishing mate are now going to start targeting tailor for something different. We never have fished for this species nor no nothing about them. Was wondering if anyone has any advice what so ever on these fish ie rigs, baits, combos, even rough areas so central coast beaches or estuary systems to target them. Also at night or day what tides. Everything and everything. Cheers
  13. I got this 58cm lizard on Friday the 13th. Was stoked knowing I went out there with the attitude of "not going to catch nothing it's Friday the 13th" Haha yewin
  14. G'day fellow anglers. After long time coming I'm finally getting my fully decked out fishing kayak this sat coming. I'm a central coast fisher (north end of coast) I only fish bait but am slowly gathering all the gear for lure fishing and really wanna get in to it. Just wondering if people can share some good locations to fish and what baits or rigs. Tides or lures just any general knowledge and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and happy angling
  15. Hey mate inbox me I have an awesome spot you can try which has just been laying off huge for me on flatties.
  16. Hey raiders. It's been a long wait for this. I have been dying to catch a decent flatty for a long time. I've been taking on so much advice and trying everything and with many hours out in to no prevale. Got home from work this arvo got a bag of prawns and decided to head out for a few hours just for a bit of fun not a serious sesh. Got to a personal favourite spot and tide was running out and to my surprise still a few prawns floating by. Starting scooping a few. Got a few quick bream to get off the mark. This may sound weird but I take a few rods leave them all out with very light drag, enough for the fish to hook it self but light enough to hear a fish take off. After a few bream I heard quiet a decent run on a live prawn I had out. I had finally done it. Wasn't much but a 35cm flatty has finally taking a load off my shoulders I was pretty stoked and happy to leave. AND THEN!!! That last love prawn in the bucket I put on my long shank and threw it put there. Left the rod sitting as I was packing up and heard a few decent hits. Picked up the rod and got a hit and striked. I have never had a fish tag off and heard my drag scream like this. Instantly it started getting my adrenaline pumping as I knew I was finally coming along in my fishing. Had no clue what it was as flatties never run like this thing did. After a good 5min Fight and alot of line to retrieve I landed this beautiful 54cm lizard. I have never been stoked. Not a massive fish but for me who's trying to improve my fishing I was stoked to say the least. All in all a good 3 hours.
  17. Wow $4!! Bargain. Where did you get them from. Would love to buy a pair or two. Cheers
  18. G'day fellow raiders. I recently went on a weekend trip to hat head on the mid north coast of nsw for a wedding. (Forgot my rod ;(...). I am looking at going for a boys weekend fishing trip up there next summer. Can anybody let me know what the fishing is like. I will be mainly land and kayak fishin for flathead and beach fishing of a night for the bigger fellas. Can anyone tell me if there is much action for flatty and whiting also anything about bigger species from the beach. The more info the better just anything and everything about hat head. I'm loving this site guys. Nice to meet you all )
