  5. Hello fellow raiders. My best mate and i are very keen anglers and have been getting right into fishing over last 2 or so years. Even so going on 1 to 2 camping/fishing trips a year up and down nsw north and south coast. We have bought fishing kayaks which have had some good success to an extent. We are looking at investing at a boat late this year. My point of this topic is pointed out in the subject (throwing this out in hope) haha. I am just curious would any fellow raiders north or south of central coast (prefferabbly) within 2hour drive be happy to organise a day out on the water so it can get us keen to invest haha more of a motivator trip. We will quiet happily pay for fuel/bait/lunch etc etc in appreciation. Doesnt bother us what we chase but we would love to get on to something that will give us a good fight whether thats big fish on big tackle or smaller bread and butters on light tackle. I do not expect anybody to say yes nor am i trying to pressure anybody. Just throwing it out there. We are 23 and 27 and just love being on the water enjoying the serenity. Thanks raiders.

  9. So i have been doing some reading on beach spinning metal slugs and i am very very interested. This sounds super exciting and am wanting to give it a crack. I went out and bought myself a rovex revenge spin combo and will be setting this up for casting slugs. Can anybody help with any info or tips in regards to beach spinning. Times tides locations. Types of lure etc. I am central coast based and really wanting to give this a good crack. Cheers

  13. Hey raiders Not after exact spots but just general info about the attached pic. I generally fish tuggerah lakes and am looking at "broaden my horizons" as such. Catch the train to hornsby for work every day and been looking at this area as highlighted in the pic. I will be in my yak. Can anyone tell me if this is just a rubish spot and dont waste my time or is it decent and what can i try target there. Thanks everyone
  14. Hey mate i am a kayak fosher from these exact lakes. Im constantly in tuggerah lakes. I have the exact same kayak and yesterday fished the mouth of entrance chanel. They are very stable. I highly reccomenf them. Have had some nice fish from them.

  17. Sorry didnt know my other comment didnt post. Spot A is where you have been fishing spot B is where you need drive to and spot X is where you need walk the shore line and fish. Very quality spot. Well atleast has been for me
  18. Hey mate of you head further out the channel heafing to the bar towards the marine rescue like right next to it. (Access via caves beach) there is a nice sandy/weedy spot which has alot calmer water due to the breakwall. Monster bream and whiting in there. Land based you can only cast to a max of 1-2m i will snap a photo of it on google maps
  19. No dramas. Best of luck mate. Let me knoe how you go
  20. I like that idea i was thinking of that like a swinging arm mount and locks and unlocks. Might look into it hey. Cheers for the advice. Dont really wanna spend 80 bucks althought i really appreciate the opinion. Will keep it as a last resort
  21. Ok so im stuck!! Haha i bought myself a fish finder for my kayak as its about time. Only dilemma is im having trouble figuring out where and how to mount the bloody transducer. My troubles is that the transom of the yak doesnt sit in the water. I have considered mounting it to the bottom of the hull but my mate and i constantly beach our yaks to sand bars to walk the flats or pump nippers etc so that will ruin it pretty quickly. I need somewhere that wont get ruined really quickly. Also i mount my kayak to my roof to get to spots so cant impede with that either. I would love to come up with some sort of thing that is like a telescopic mount where i can extend and shorten when ever required. Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers
  22. Hey mate. I never ever prawn on a new moon. Best days is always 3-5 days either side of new moon so will be perfect for you. The later the better. I tend to find if you can coincide a runout tide starting to run about 9ish i clean uo from about 10-3. Good luck!!!
