  1. Hey Mondo, Nice report and all I can say is, that was fun, but no more bum dances OK. That was just all wrong. Regards, Hutcho
  2. Mondo Nice Sambo. I really get jealous when I am stuck on the F3 and you are pulling in fish. See u on the weekend. Regards, Hutcho
  3. Mondo, Thanks for another great day on the water. The conditions were fantastic but the fish wouldn't come out and play. Mate, my feet are still cold that was unbelievable and I won't being doing that again without gumboots or something. It is very difficult catching a feed at this time of the year but September is my favourite time for chucking plastics at the flat fellows so bring on Spring. I will spend the weekend detailing the boat ready to put on the net for sale. Yes, it is time to UPGRADE. Of course we will still have to go for a fish but I may have to ban the bait. Regards, Hutcho
  4. Hey Mondo, Thanks for today although we didn't do very well. That groper was huge and gave a great fight on light gear but the highlight was that close up picture of the rock cod. I nearly spat my coffee on the computer. Imagine coming from another planet and that was the first thing you bumped into. Fairdinkum mate I laughed when I saw it. And G'day Brian hope you are well mate and let me know when you are coming to the big smoke for a fish. Regards, Hutcho
  5. Nice Pics Mondo, I remember the days (not that long ago) we would have been out there!!! It's amazing but those photos actually look bloody freezing. Anyway I'm amped for a snapper hunt. See ya 5am tomorrow, don't be late. I got the coffee!!! Hutcho
  6. Mondo & 007 Thanks boys for a great little session, Pete you certainly like your salmon `shaken not stired' that fish was an absolute stonker. The picture doesn't do the size of that fish justice I reckon Jewgaffer is spot on. That is a great looking jew hole and a few nicely presented slabs of taylor might do the trick. I reckon a Sunday arvo session is in order. It was also great to get a fish on our new reels the drag on my new emblem was magic. Aaah gotta love fishin. Regards, Hutcho
  7. Hi Jewgal, Welcome to fishraider. I reckon there's nothing better than beginners luck, some people just have the touch. Like my daughter who reguarly outfishes everyone. My tip is you will probably score a jewy if you take on board the advice on this site. Congrats and good luck. Regards, Hutcho
  8. Nice Bream mate, Looks like you don't always need a boat for a quality fish. We should do an ol' Jewy beach hunt soon after you get my present!!! But let's go hunting snapper on Sunday first. Regards, Hutcho
  9. Mondo, A quick, wet, but eventfull trip. Flatties in winter how good is that. You can't hide in the ivory tower forever Matty!!! Hutcho
  10. Great post mate, I remember the day you caught that bluey you were like a `rock star' with the Japanese tourists. Get it, `Rock star'. By the way I want my hat back. Lets hope we can get out this weekend. Regards, Hutcho
  11. Mondo and fellow raiders, Sorry about the late reply I was at the same BBQ (snapper fillets with ginger, chilli and garlic) and Black label bourbon. What Ray left out was absolutely the funniest thing I have ever seen fishing but to that later. During our hunt for the snapper I hooked up to the biggest animal I have ever had on the end of a line. After an epic half hour battle going around and around the boat I hauled in a huge stingray. This thing was massive we have called it for 50kg but it could have easily been bigger. We cut it loose and I now have a new back problem and great respect for my Diawa SOL 500 and Sakana 15kg rod. As Ray explained after our snapper fish we headed back into Lobster Beach and caught the bream. Then Ray latched on to nice trev and finally bought him into the boat. Then it all happened in a flash. As he was attempting to free the fish he dropped his rod and reel straight over the side. As all good fisho's would do he instantly reached over to grab it, lost his balance and got completely stuck. His huge frame was half in and half out of the water, he was basically counter levered with the top half of his body under water. I immediately grabbed hold of his pants but he was starting to pull me in with him. Believe me he is no light weight. He was going no where when all of a sudden he realised breathing would be a good idea and fairdinkum he was thrashing around like a green marlin at the end of the gaff, arms going everwhere and gulping for air. Finally I got enough of his clothes and dragged him back into the boat. (did not help my back either). The funniest thing was he still had his hat, sunnies and wet smoke in his mouth after the incident. It is certainly one of those, you had to be there stories, but I nearly fainted laughing and I am still laughing telling this story. Luckily he didn't injure himself and we were lucky enough to get his rod back. It was nearly as funny as the day he bite the head off a live whiting for a bet, but that's another story. Thanks for a great day out and brand new story for the fire at Crescent. Regards, Hutcho
  12. Mondo, Thanks for the outing another adventure in the quintrex and we made the right move going back into some shelter. The bream were cooked up that night for a great feed. Bring on some sunshine and the longweekend. Regards, Hutcho
  13. Mondo, Nice one. What you didn't tell everyone was you spotted the fish from on top of Avoca looking down at all the activity. Then you had the piece of mind to go down have a crack. Great reward, I have never heard of mullet on plastics before. Could this be a first? I reckon the brimbo's will come on as well with the incoming tide. What did you buy for the boat? Regards, Hutcho

Mondo, Well mate now everyone has had their say, let me say this..... CONGRATULATIONS. Buggered if I know how many fishing trips we have been on over the years but it would be countless. I remember when you bought me my first beach/rock rod and the 7000 shimano (which I still have) over 25 years ago and the thousands of fish we have caught together. It is always great fun when we venture out and each time is a new adventure. I look forward to many many more. Theres many things I love about fishing but each time I see two old blokes in a tinny I reckon that will be us for sure. Well done on the 1000 and keep going, I see many other raiders really enjoy your photo's stories and assistance. I reckon you should be voted for by fishraiders as an excellent candidate for a `Moderator' I am sure everyone would agree, your knowledge, ethics and loyalty are beyond reproach. Regards, Hutcho
  15. Mondo, Nice photos again and not a bad rig explanation. Don't like you fishing while up going up and down the F3. By the way I can smell those rock fishing boots from here. 16. G'day Pete Sorry about the late reply but great post the breambo was a beauty and the bonnies are great fun. I've almost given up trying to work out when they will turn up. Nice to meet you and hope to catch you soon around the rocks. No worries with the name mix up, I bet Hodgey 1 is a great bloke too!!! Regards, Hutcho
  17. Hey Mondo, Tried Kazza's beer batter deep fried with lemon and chips for mothers day. Very nice boneless fillets!!! I reckon we keep hittin the flatties till the the Hawkesbury freezes over. Bugger those elusive Mulloway. Regards, Hutcho
  18. Yep RayR is a top bloke. Although he was too chicken to brave the elements with me last night. Ray, I didn't catch anything with your squid although I caught and later released the biggest taylor I have ever seen. I reckon it would have been in excess of 60cm. It took your whole squid. I must say Ray is a great mate of mine and is very honest and helpful but don't get between him and a good feed. Regards, Hutcho
  19. Mondo, Nice photo's mate. Imagine sitting there for four hours for no bites. We must be mad!!! Lets go tomorrow. Regards, Hutcho
  20. Great fish, I bet frozen prawns and servo pillies have accounted for more fish than we would like to think about, but you have to be in it to win it!! Regards, Hutcho
  21. Hey Mondo, Nice post mate you've done it again and captured our trip nicely. Thanks for another great holiday and our 28th year in a row. I think it is pretty amaziing that the 61 has grown from a group of teenagers who have stuck together through thick and thin and bred like rabbits. It is also fantastic that the new generation of P platers are still keen to come up with us. Till next year and the capture of the elusive jew and cobe. Now it's time to prepare the boat for some local action and hunt down some bream. Regards, Hutcho
  22. Dear Brian and Chappo `That's not a flatty, this is a flatty'. Boys sorry I missed out on the comp I would have loved to have been there when you hauled that beauty over the side. Good to see Chappo didn't get square over the kingy saga. Chappo, all that coaching over the years must have sunk in eventually. But, `You can't fish, you come on' Well done boys hope to catch up soon. Regards, Hutcho
  23. You can't fish you come on!!!! H
  24. Hi Steve, Badluck, somethings happening at the moment, I guess if we could figure it out fishing on the good days just wouldn't be the same. Thats what keeps bringing us back I suppose. We should catch up and have a fish soon, RayR is keen and us Copacabana Fisho's should stick together. Regards, Hutcho
