  1. Would be interested in going on a charter with you mate
  2. It would be in the port hacking.... I would be after flatties, whiting, kingifish and other pelagics. Aluminium or fibreglass
  3. Haha...fine by me, start the berley trail when you get there and I will eb set when i arrive
  4. I was thinking about going down early sunday morning also...around 5am'ish Might have to make a deffinate trip down there now, it hasnt been to busy lately...
  5. I think another obvious and major project would be fish restocking....would be nice for them to do some more jewies...maybe another 3000 but this time 1500 in hacking and 1500 in harbour. Proably stock a few more snapper and species like that also.
  6. I can haha I know alot of people that like it and if they did put the walkway around the entire facility it would be less crowded (possibly more, with more people going) But it would be a nicer environtment and give alot more opportunities to fish areas and be out of the way of boat traffic to some extent. If you like it lots you will have to come down one morning
  7. Yeh just a walk way all the way around would be a huge benefit down there. But it was just an example of things that can and could be done...many many more ideas should be tried!
  8. Hi, Lookign into getting a boat, i saw some of the hornet trophy boats and similar...whats the best type of boat to get? I could grab an engine and put it on an old tinny otherwise, which may be the go...not to sure.
  9. Hi, I was reading the paper this morning and found a little article that I think 'Fish Raider' Should take up. The article is as follows: "Recreational fishing groups and individuals are invited to apply for State Government grants to improve local fishing facilities. The money, which is raised from recreational fishing licences, is only available for projects that BENEFIT recreational fishing. Last year more than $10 million was spent on projects such as fish stocking programs and fishing platforms. I will email them and ask how the projects are undertaken, etc. I would like to be apart of this if the admin / people that look after fish raider would like to organise a commitee for it? Then we could find out what the raider community would like to invest in project and apply for the grants? I think more restocking would be nice, but also upgrading places such as lilli pill baths...making the warf go around the entire structure not just the left side and so on...things like this would accomidate more people and allows for a better environment to fish from.

    Lures

I am about to purchase some more lures I just wanted some colours, brands and sizes Fish targeted are salmon, tailor, kingfish, bonito. Land based casting in esturies will be main use, apart from that maybe some trolling. I am looking at river2sea and halco at moment....red/white in one and maybe pilchard in another, what weights? 20g or so? What others are recomended? Thank you
  13. Me and a few mates would be in for it...another one is Biance fishing charter...but thats bottom bashing mostly

    Bream / Tarwhine

Green spots are normally small pinky snapper
  16. So for someone like me thats land based and getting kingies at the moment i would be doing the same sorts of things but getting tailor and salmon instead? Should we expect more rat kings in the next few weeks with warmer waters?
  17. Ah that sucks. I will do a report and try and get the digi camera working so i can take some photos hopefully also. I am currently looking into purchasing a boat...proably a tinny of some sort, maybe a hornet trophy or similar. any ideas on a small tinny type of thing that can be used at night easily and is easy to store..as there is no where at my place to leave it so will hae to try and get it in the boat shed at relos place most likely, which is not easy as the ramp has rotted away to some part..mite have to have engine off and put it on after throwing the boat in.
  18. A white polo and a navy polo with fish raider logo on left hand chest area would be nice....and a nice collared long sleeved one that you see alot of the fisho documentary people wearing with the same kind of logo would be good!....would grab 1 of each for sure
  19. I got myself the shimano raider snapper 2 piece and it worked really well against the kingy the other day with 20pnd mono
  20. I will be heading down to Lilli Pilli Baths on Wednesday morning around 5:30ish if anyone is interested in joining us for abit of lure spinning and abit of bait fishing. It will be land based unless someone with a boat is interested in going out and having some company. Cheers, Brad

    Kingies

Looks like plenty of reports have alot to do with kingies at the moment.... Have a quick read through, but froma quick look it seems as though Cliffton Gardens is the spot at the moment
  23. Hi Guys, As the topic says i am looking to know how to setup a rig for batied ways to catch kingies and others. I have only been using lure for them at the moment but would like to try some small live bait, squid strips, fish strips, etc. I have 20pnd mono, 10pnd braid, 40pnd leader, 15pnd leader, 10pnd mono...so i have a variety of lines to chose from. Im just want to try the fresher stuff and try and get some hook ups...at night after some jews and day after kingies and salmon. Just after places to go to, to see diagrams or if people can advise on what type of setup to use. Thank you Brad
