  1. I'd suggest the combos best of both worlds that way.. 1500 is top range type gear I'd imagine. I have a lowrance elite 7hds combo and I'm wrapped it's fantastic. The site sponsor huett marine sell them I'd strongly suggest talking to the about there products.

  2. They are some big trips in a runabout, I had a 4.2 stessco tiller steer tinny and the swell picked right up as I was south of jibbon bombie so I quickly turned home. I'm looking at the peak and 12 for the first time in a few weekends in a 5.2. But use more than under 25 lt old merc blackmax love the fuel haha but Not worried I've handled boats in a lot of different conditions but as you say weather research is a Must!!!

    Nice looking boat mate!!

  3. Nice to see your still pulling fish in, nice to get out the water even in a bit of chop I reckon.

If you don't mind me asking what line and tackle set up do you generally run inside the hacking

    Cheers

  4. If people are genuinely struggling yes!!! jump in and give a helping hand 100 percent

on wind days in yowie I'd had people grab my boat docking it and I do the same but if I'm waiting to back in and there are people on the ramp doing idiotic things like blasting all over the place on jetskis and spinning the boat around causing other boats to bang around then sorry those who act like idiots at the ramp are on there own.. Just my opinion but I agree that if someone's genuinely struggling help out and I try to if needed

  5. Foreshore ramp was manic aswell

People unload there boat and dont even move it up the dock just where it came off the trailer then multiple had to jumpstart boats and the amount of jetskis gunning it around the dock and inbetween the two was disgusting. Myself and two other fishos waited for a littke before backing out rigs down together ... sure we could have gone straight away but it was just dangerous with the jetskis and amount of people in the dock. Im with scratchie out real early and back before the mayhem really kicks in

  6. I knocked off work at a decent time today so I quickly hooked the boat on and off I went to oatley ramp and was heading from the dock at 5.. sweet! Planned to drift towra for flathead but the wind was going against the tide so it made things a little difficult so I changed plans and ancored a bit off the capt cook bridge in a nice hole and tried for my first jew! Within half an hour my rod buckled and I was on but didnt fight all that much and I got a glimps at the boat and I thought I had a huge bream! Wasnt I wrong... happily wrong! it went for another run and after I got the head turned up came my first ever mulloway and I was soooo stoked!! And im still buzzing !

it measured 49 cm well undersize but I dont even care I am just so pumped I landed one, got a happy snap and it swam off noce and healthy! Wooo

After 2 hours on the water and a great sunset to watch I headed home with a massive smile haha wooo!!

  7. Been in CONJOLA since birth basically great spot!! It's heaven

Fishing in recent years has been a bit slow due to lake often closing but it's open and clean and tides are racing. Good time to head down as the fishings heating up

The steps are at the end of the 4 knots zone on the right if heading away from the sea past lakeside van park, start in the shallows and drift with the incoming tide to deeper water and you'll come across good size whiting on poppers or pump some nippers on the sand flats at the island directly across from lakeside van park. Bream hang off the rocks and snags on the right at the steps also I've pulled quiet a few 40 cm plus out of there.

Go on the fisheries website and they have the gps marks for the artificial reef off the steps shown aswell. May hold jewies.. At Chrissy a bloke pulled a big Jewie out of the lake I haven't personally.

A few weeks back I was in the kayak drifting the channel off deep water park ( the one with all the cabins.. Can't miss it ) and I hit my pb flattie on a 4 inch nuclear chicken and then first cast after first rip up hooked a 44 cm flattie . That channel has been producing well over the few weeks for most people I strongly recommend drifting this part of the channel . I can't get mullet to touch anything I throw at them.. I can see a school and they turn away every time .. They kill me.

Luderick I can't say anything on as I haven't tried chasing them although would love to Learn!!

Try off the beach big salmon schools were in close a few weeks back.

Good luck ! I'll be down first weekend in December .

    Cheers jake
