Hi Raiders, Go to botany on Friday at 7 pm, got about 15 yakkas, caught 1 good bream, flat head and no bite on live bait, decided to move and got my 30 lb rig then a massive bite, despite locked drag, it manage to wrap line on something at bottom, must be a bigggggg jew by the feel of the run and head shake then line broke. We went to container wall and send live bait down, two run and two port Jackson and then quite, then another run , I grab the rod and it slowly coming to surface without a fight. I was cursing port jackson all the way to surface and to my suprise, a 75 cm jew. it got hook in the gut, My dad lost one jew and I got another one. Just when we decide to go, we heard a scream for help from a boat about 100 meters away, we come over and they couldn't start the engine. I jump over and found he had a flat battery, then change to trolling battery but with a bad connection. Temporary fix him up and his engine started, he got a snapper and 4 kg worth of squid which he offered but we had enough in our fridge so I declined. a very happy day even it was quite windy. left at 11 pm Cheers Xsite

Hi mate Hope you will get better The key things is to look at some one worst than you are in as there are olenty people is worst Try to get on the water when ever possible I also have bowl, lung cancer and have been in chemo for two years Every time ism on chemo, i wish there is a gun next to me so i can end it all. I keep on thinking that there. Are people worst than me like earthquake victims or similiar. I push really hard to go fishing with my brother when possible and thats does pick me up abit more til the next session of chemo Dr gave me 12 months to live year and a half ago but i am still fishing and working when possible so please go on as normal as pssible and NEVER give up Xsite

The only seasick cure thats works is spending more time on the water Need to start at calm condition and work your way to heavy swell Will take time but will be good, ss soon as you feel sick,find calm water strsight away seasick will put most people off fishing Cheers

I went out in botany bay and had a similiar day Took 3 hours gor 4 bait squid, send them down and got Two undersize kings, tried spinning, plastic but nothing Went home empty but still better than stay home Had to go early because valintine day 7 am to 2 pm all over botany bay Cheers Xsite

Hi Raider, Launch boat at botany bay late Sunday afternoon, Tried for some Yakkas but got non so decided to go for calamari in front of bare island, nothing for 1.5 hours then bang, 28 small to medium come on board in the next 1.5 hour, send one live one down but did not check the old rig as we have tried so many times with out success, then some thing grab the live squid, heavy but no head shake at all so I thought it was a port Jackson, Then a 80cm + king surface (never see one this big in the bay before), saw our boat and decide to run for its freedom and the leader snap. Dammmmmmmmm Any way, squid stop so we move to Travelly Alley and pick up a 5.5 kg Jew, all up is was a better than average day and awesome BBQ on Australia's day with family Hoping this is a good start for the new year Cheers Xsite

Hi Raiders, Fished Botany bay on Wednesday, condition wasn't not the best, ramp was full but had a spot after 10 min of waiting Spend two hour chasing squid from henry head to Kurnell but donut. Then went back to bare island for 30 min and no touch, just about to move then got a hit with a small squid, then another 7 in the next min minutes. Dinner sorted went to container wall with two live squid, two live yellow tail as live bait and another pilchard on another rod while enjoying our feed but zero touch again. a guy close to us caught a decent Jew and drop a big flathead We stay until nine pm and decided to call it a day Drove off slowly for five minutes the speed up the boat and heard a screaming reel noise, we stop the boat and found that we forgot to pull up a rod, wind it up and found a dead 60 cm flathead on the hook, LOL Took it home for another feed, We cant seam to catch anything decent lately, if weather is good, I will chase kingie, haven't caught one for a ,long time Advice on location in Botany bay is appreciated Xsite

Took the afternoon off to fish with my brother, just as we left thr driveway, mrs call and she want to come alongso had to wait for 25 minutes Hit the ramp at 3pm windy so we try in close near container wall, burley hard for two hours with no bite but a few yellow tail We then move to bare island for calamari for nil Move close to cape bank and pick up 3 small calamari Mrs pick up two by dropping the jig side of boat. ( dammed) By 6 pm decided to go back in as wind pick up more And saw some birds activity middle of bay so stop and found some tailor aroung 33-26 cm Keeping 8 for dinner and release twice as many small one Again mrs caught more the me and my brother by thow small jig less than 10 meters from boat ( she cant cast properly yet) Sory no photo embarrashing is an understatement

Or if you are lazy like me then mince the occy with pork and herbs to make occy cake and deep fry then store in freezer Great with pasta Note a bit of pork fat improve flavour heeps Xsite

Hi guys I dont smoke, dont drink and rarely gamble so spending on fishing gears is ok with me Must say that it would alot cheaper buying fish but there are no fun Maintaining a boat, towing and fishing gears is bloody expensive lucky i can do most of the wirks, just have to pay for parts Cheers Xsite

6 to 10 lb rock fluro carbon Result are same excet 10 lb allow me to pull up accasional jew and bigger flat head I just cant seam to get fish consistant whete as calamari is alway more reliable Hard work on calamari though Thanks Four ur advice If you see a whit boat with Xsite in botany bay come up close and say hi

plenty of burley on both site but not much Found that chicken and parmerson is going ok I am mainly for calamari because fish dont seam to like me lately thanks

Just want to know, Health is no good for the stone anymore but still dreaming of the old days Now days just boating at botany bay in calm conditions so don't catch much Thanks
