Well I will start by saying I have finally had my first taste of deep sea fishing.
Met my nephew at his house at a respectable time of 6am. A quick stop to pick up my nephew's mate and off we went to pick up the boat (which is a 6.8m Haines Hunter, same as E.T's) from my brother-in-law's house at Dural we hit Barowa which is close by. We reached Pittwater for live bait before 9am and had half a dozen yakka's in the live well (which we later found out was not enough).
So out we head for the F.A.D.'s, but about 10km's out we started some lures for anything big (beaky's) for no luck. We reached the F.A.D.'s and trolled a little more before we gave up. So then out went the livies for one fast hook up and one escape.
The second livies went out and, bang... a double hook up. I might tell you now that the double was with me and my nephew's mate (nephew was laying on the deck almost the whole trip... from a few beers and a late nite) so we had to net them on our own. All up four dollies from 5 livies and a deady. After a short stint flatty spinning around Berowra we were back at the ramp with a huge smile on my face.
P.S. Photo's to follow as I forgot my camera.
