  2. hi man mate hewits marine has just re powered my 435 with a 50hp etec what a machine im using less fuel than my old 35hp less oil and its nice quiet do not look past a etec i done alot of shopping around and asked a heap of questions craig didnt play games he was straight out with it told me what i would get with the motor that the other motors don't come with and the money that is saved by the 3 years no servicing as im not mechanically minded his explanations were great at the end of the day my new etec is bloody awsome and with the warrante they offer my opinion you cant go past them

  4. lol your a nut billy we make the call to go squidn on sunday for something different now your asking if their gonna be there or not it dont matter if their there or not we can never find them as normal we'll hit the harbour try for squid get none keep an eye out for something busting up on the surface which wont happen so we'll head back up river and chase bream again and finally go home empty handed see ya at the ramp

  6. 1 spool per reel 2000 size reel youll prob need some backing with 10 lb so just topshot the vanish over some mono backing this is just a opinion 10lb might be a bit to heavy but see how you go if your not getting the results drop down to 6lb mick
  7. ill resize them and and add to post tomorrow roberta mick
  8. few good feeds there mate well done
  9. i personally dont like the combo units for the main reason when you have them both going on split screen you only have half screen for both not enough detail for the sounder side of it so i have 3 seperate units on the boat how i have mine set up is my main sounder on console lowrance x125 to keep an eye on wats going on underneath whilst on the plain and a smaller x52 on the bow for when useing the leccy and a hummingbird gps on the console all 3 have large screens makes it alot easier to read, with the gps i dont think you need a top of the line gps my gps is quite old it only has built in maps but does its job just fine weather its saving a mark or getting back to the ramp in complete darkness (the only reason i got a gps is when i got lost in cowan creek at night and ended up near the heads)i dont use them to much more just a way home at night when on uncharted waters depending on your budget will depend on wat you get wat i will say is id look at a high pixel grey sounder over a low pixel colour sounder and just a basic gps will do the job if you feel you want one they can come in handy tranducer power does not have to be huge if you not going throung the heads just depends on the depth your fishing brands everyone will have their own but mine is lowrance great units never had any probs with mine

  14. have a look at daiwa in-feet 1-3 7"6 very good rod around the 220 make i think p-fleuger trion 1-3 7foot around the 125 mark t-curve 6"6 2-4 around the 300 mark i think dropshot 2-4 around 110 mark personally i dont like them to heavy should be rated alot heavier by looking at it raider finesse bream 7"2 1-4 around the 150 theres a few mick
  15. if your happy with it now just put a little work into it just remember the more weight you put in the more it will slow it down so you may want to look at upgrading the motor
