  1. id be careful fishing under the bridge if i was you you will get booked if there is waterways around the whole area is no drifting or anchoring now and watch your speed limit there to 15knts mick

  4. get hold of a yak if u can and fish the flats you cant go wrong appart from that you can wade the water ocean side of the bridge fish the flats and drop offs plenty of lizards,bream and whiting around there mick

  6. dont mean to be rude here but i would not be spraying wd40 on anything going into the water to target fish think of the smell just wash them and let em dry properly put em back in the box just my opinion mick
  7. deffinatley replace the split rings and trebles you will regret if you dont and you hook up to a kilo+ fish that will straighten them in no time at all

  9. have a read of the how to guide on poppers for bream man and just keep at it and try different methods there is an art to this its just not draging them across the top of the water and waiting for the fish to commit suicide iv had lots of frustrating trips coming home empty handed but then again iv had some cracker sessions the only thing i would add is i prefer smaller poppers on calmer days and size up abit when theres a bit of a ripple also never leave home with out a tatally clear popper oh yeah sorry hodgey but i have to differ here with you i like to rip 4-5 times and pause until no ripples can be seen form the popper many of times iv had the popper smashed up on the pause especially by lizards have landed whiting with this method to but either method will work im telln ya theres nuthn better than getting smashed up off the surface when you get the first youll know wat we're talking about good luck with it mick
  10. LOWRANCE x125 OR X135 cant go past them 480/480 pixles with all the bells and whistles im looking for a second x125 now for the bow of the boat id stay away from colour at the price you want to spend you will get a 10 times better unit in grey scale mick

  12. have a look at the daiwa infeet range the names not the best but a really nice set up 7 foot 6 1-3kg rod and the reel is the same size as a 2000 loaded up with your chiose of braid great combo i have 2lbs on mine and love it mick

  15. hi there just to give you an idea i use 2lbs braid with 4lbs leader/1lbs braid 2lbs expect to get busted up quite abit useing the second i wouldnt use a lighter leader then your main line so if your useing 6lbs i stay around 6-8lbs leader i would not go any heavier if your interested in an late arvo/night surface session shoot me a pm ill be heading out a cpl of nights next week mick

  17. nice bream there mate good old hen and chicken bay it use to be a gun spot for the land based angler even the boater but latley its real quiet not alot of reoprts coming from out of there these days mick
  18. ill have a crack at this kingy thing again please add me might have a spot will know by tomorrow but if the spot is open would prefer someone wanting to flick plastics and mabe use the downrigger later in the day mick
  19. i run 2lbs crystal on a few different set up and quite like it just make sure your knots are perfect cause it dont take much for it to go pop also just spooled up my 1 of my small shimanos with 1 pnd for light weight or weightless plastics mick
  20. downrigger for me look out sydney harbour kings they got no chance now with the new sounder and downrigger to boot mick
  21. sounds like a nice day out and thats exactly why i crush all barbs on all hooks easier to get out of fingers and and alot better for the fish that get released mick
  22. go hard man well done on the kings top job just gos to show it aint as easy as it looks you really have to know these fish billy and i have been out half a dozen times chasing kings for nuthn yet 1 trip with a guy who know wat hes talking about and wam 15 kings in a cpl of hours just awsome congrats again on your first king billy and trust me guys and gals he is tickle pink about it he hasnt stoped talking about it im so jelouse mick
