  6. alot of the new blades these days are coming out with the double hook insted of trebles my opinion is get rid of them befor you use them replace them with owner trebles and a small split ring this has happened to me the first time i used a blade with the double hook set up the hooks pulled appart straightned and nearly pulled through i spoke to the guys at my local tackle shop and they said alot of people are saying the same thing so hopefully it will be changed to trebles soon mick
  7. try a stinger hook on your plastics youll be suprised not allways little fish that take the tail basically put your plastic on the jig as normal get a short length of 4-6 lbs fluro leader tie it to the actual hook with a albright knot or something that will hold tight use a small trebble get the length near the end of the plastic and once again tie it off insert one of the treble hooks into the plastic leaving 2 exposed this should improve your hook up rate try a few different plastic and watch their action as it will affect some of them and thats wat you dont want but others will be fine
  8. dicko is spot on if its fluro straight through no leader is needed if its braid a leader is a must ill use fluro straight through when fishing very clear water 2lbs mick

  23. my opinion is dont just put a tip on it, to get the rod working properly you should have lets say the top 5 eyes removed and put back on in a lower position to wat they are now, they should be spaced evenly so you get a nice arch in the rod if you just throw a tip on it the top 2 eyes will be to close iv tried it both ways and trust me it works better with the eyey moved mick take it to a tackle shop to get it done tips are easy to do your self but the other eyes bit more difficult try a site sponsor thell help ya out
