  1. Excuse me Norm!!! Thats not very nice... Marky would probably starve or eat packets of chips for 3 days if I didn't go he he Thanks again everyone for an amazing weekend of laughs and fishing! And a much as I know Sasha was jealous, I had a beautiful day on Saturday with a glass of wine and a rod in hand soaking up the afternoon sun. I couldn't think of a better way to unwind after the craziness of OEFY at work. Somehow you guys picked the most perfect weekend for it. Next year Jason... and maybe Mark... that'll be your time to catch a big 2m one or something... I just know it! I promise I won't sleep through it all next time And massive kudos to the two kayak guys... maaaaan, I don't know how you do it! Brrr
  2. Just saw this on FB and though it would be interesting to hear what the summit findings are: http://stabmag.com/the-shark-solution-shark-summit-australia/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Oh I didn't even think about that bit... that would have been a sight to see. The moon was amazing.
  4. Nice catches! Was a perfect morning for it.
  5. Would it make you feel any better that over an entire weekend of fishing I only managed a few yakka, a small bream and a catfish? Hope your catches are a bit more rewarding soon!
  6. Well done Scratchy Jr! I still haven't been able to get one at all so he is doing much better than me already! (Not that that is hard to do)
  7. Oh that ice cream scoop is a genius idea! It definitely has a very strong and lingering scent, and resulted in a lot of dry reaching at the smell of an open bottle in the kitchen trying to make burley bombs for a weekend away!
  8. I am learning of this addiction you speak of... Its so disappointing when after a whole weekend the best I can do is a few Yakkas and a reaaaally ugly Catfish! Awesome that you have your next run planned, I hope its more fruitful. On the burley... consider some tuna oil as well as the pellets, if you can stand the stench.
  9. Sounds like a great afternoon out! (Not so much the morning bit.. slow days are frustrating!) So glad I don't eat much fish... never have to worry about what the things have had to eat
  10. Happy Birthday Sounds like a wonderful weekend away with just the right amount of merry. Shame about the pesky wind
  11. What a bummer Sorry you went to all that effort for no real return. I'm only just starting to experience this kind of bad luck and its really depressing! Are you planning a next trip to try and make up for it?
  12. Congrats Harold. I've heard nothing but amazing things about you and your contributions to the community. Totally bummed that we missed out meeting you and your family at the hairtail weekend. In a few short weeks of trying to remember to read some of the forum threads and meeting a bunch of the people on here, it is indeed an amazing collective of people sharing priceless information and lessons. Anyone new, just like me, just start talking to people and asking questions if you have them!!!! You never know what you might find in common with some of the other people on here, or just how much helpful advice you may be offered
  13. Grats on your PB's! Nice write up, thanks for sharing
  14. You and your technicalities!!! Amkr showed me this this morning... how the hell does that guy fight something that big and stay standing! Its a pretty cool feat in my book! I have no idea what catching fish from land is like, so this seems pretty crazy after watching shows like Wicked Tuna to base my idea of how much fight these fish have and how long it can take them to tire. Go him!
