hey mate are you looking at going jigging for kings or just dropping live baits down???you may ask me many questions about jigging of sydney,i jig a fare bit of sydney and i no were the kings would be,i have japanese mates that i go out with every sunday that are loaded with jigging in there brain....if you have jigging gear what outfits do you have????

what size in cm and weight do you rekon mate???

hi guys last week me and a mate fished sydneys northern beaches.We had liveies and focused on big kings.Mate threw out a livey under a balloon and a fish hit it like a steam train,he fought it for around 20mins and we had no idea what it was until s spotted it and set the gaff,it was a long tail tuna,a nice longatil tuna came up on our ledg,we took some beaut shots so check them out it weighed 9.5kg..check it out

hey mate we use over head so there fore we throw the baits by hand???we use a balloon about the size of a mini soccer ball... we got them on 24kg outfits ....you really need the gear to stop these hoods

about 15mins,you really have to be patient and take your time otherwise bang he will bust ya...remember the harder you pull,he will pull 3times as hard...

na mate the conditions were perfect ,no wind at all..there was good white wash and great cloud cover there for these big king hang closer to the surface...and it was teaming down hard with rain when we hooked up

Hi fellow raiders,me and 3 mates went for a land base kingy fish like we do pritty much every day off sydneys northern beaches and landed 2 big kings,i got a 12kg on a 1.5kg squid and my mate got a 14kg on a live yakka.I hooked up first and my mate was 2mins after me..my mate steve also hooked another king of 6.5kg and we let him go..here are some pics below...enjoy..sorry the my story is short and quick... here are a couple more 1 more

we are actually members of sydney game club and the boat is a sydney harbour boat...but we will be in the inter club ..

HI there,on the easter longweekend we fished in the sydney game fishing club easter classic,on the friday we headed out of broken bay,the 60 fathoms mark came slowly because of 3m swell,we got there and the tournament was cancelled due to 3m swell and 20knots of wind from the south,so we headed back in...saturday came and swell was pretty much the same but less wind,we decided to go for sharks at lion island but did no good so we brang them up and headed east and put the spread out in 20 to 25 fathoms which is about 1.5 to 2miles out and bang the right rigger goes off and we were very very supprised that we were in so close and we hooked up to a little black marlin of about 50kg,so he came up pretty quickley and a tag was set in him and hook was released and swam him off nicely,we were so shocked about how close we hooked that little black..And we were also the first boat out of 35 boats to hook up..so we put the spread out again and 15 mins later the right rigger goes of and a little yellowfin of about 6kg takes a 9inch hellfire lure so up he came and tag was set and let him go... 12pm came along,and swell picked up a bit to the 3m mark.We got to 60 fathoms and we had another black in our pattern of lures,he swam with us for 5mins or so and couldnt take his pick out of 4 lures,and then he disapeard for 10 secs or so then wammo he took the right rigger again and he was much bigger prob about 90 to 100kg,he swam straight for us and under the boat and the circumstances it was we couldnt reverse in the large swell and in a 25ft hunstman it wasnt very pleasent,so we ended up having a wave land in the back of the boat and fill us basically up the engine box was full with water and the back deckking was up to our knees,while my mate andrew was still fighting the fish directly under the boat and line was rubbing on the underneath and bang busted off..not to worry about the fish we were in serious trouble with water in our boat big time and also our bildge pump sh$ting its self we wernt in a good state...We went threw 3 bildge pumps all sh$ting them selves and we had our last option which was a hand pump,which took us 2 hours and finnally gat the majority of the water out ...we headed in to watsons bay and handing our tagg cards in and made our way home to get cleaned up for the presentaion at 7pm..so after getting cleaned up we sat down at the presentation with around about 100 people there,champion male angler went to a angler with a 254kg blue marlin and next was champion boat capture tagg and release,which went to us yeeeeehhaaaaaaaaaaa $8000 grand worth of prizes and we were the smallest boat in the tournament which was unreal...and thank god for us not sinking....here are some pictures below..our boats name was wild wing???

hey mate that cant be true because my mate organised a crew to go to lord howe 3 weeks ago...so that cant be true at all....im am also goin to nz for king,also perth which is my last trip of the year jigging for big samsons..and im also going to mozabique in november chasing giant trevallies and bonefish....so i will be very happily broke coming to xmas...hahaha

i suppose if i hold up my fish against my body like that and get the person to take the photo from the ground looking up i would call it 30kg or more............... the shot thats above my head is sth curl curl,there we fish on the bottom for the kings....Do you no where the other shot is taken at???

yeah mate i fish 6 days a week wether its land base or just stocking up on bait.....

hello,the photo that is on there now i caught 1 week befor xmas,i got that fish on a live yakka on 30lb line on a snyder glass with a 9500 spinfisher....The photo i have just put up i caught on sat 20kg i mainly use game overheads,i use tld50 or a penn senator with 24kg and 100lb trace on a lbg rod i mainly use like bonitos,salmon and i cant go past using live frigets which are the best of all live baits....

hey guys im new to this forum but im mainly on sydney fish finder...i was down at little manly last week when you guys caught the salmon and friget i came down for like 5 mins to c if there were any bust up but there was nothing so i left i was at little manly yesturday and i managed to hook one of those big king on a live friget mack,i got it to the ledge after 15 mins and i seen him he was probably 13kg which is the 1.2m mark and 1 last run and he done me on the oyster ledge ...what a bugger but i mainly do LBG from blue fish,nth head and the ovens,i managed to get a 22kg on sat from the northern beaches...If you are a member of the sydney fish finder forum you can c my pics,other wise on the home page of sydney fish finder there is a big king that i got a week befor xmas so check it out
