  1. Have you ever thought of investing a bit more and get hydraulic steering, check out this link is cheap enogh and I'm sure they have one to fit you motor, this one fits mine Yamaha 115 straight on and is easy enough to do it yourself , I'm just saying because when I went to change the cable by myself I found out the outboard had to be removed so I took the boat to get it done by a mechanic and ended up costing me over $600 just 200 short of getting a better system and do without cables
  2. Hmmmm Plenty to think about, I checked the Wi-Fish as tef1on made me aware as an option, I really like it, it comes with chirp unlike the T-BOX SP200 does not, but the down view resolution is incredible on the RAYMARINE DRAGONFLY 4 , the what I’m not sure about this unit is the long transducer that comes with it. As much as would like the Garmin 751xs sound great but it is way out of my price range, man this is difficult, I’m going to BCF for some braid so I’ll check out what they have and ask for about the Lawrence range and what they think about WI-FI systems, will also some home research and check resolutions over the Wi-Fi feed as per NaClH2OK9 indicated Thank you all, the more info I gather the more time I have to make the right decision
  3. the fact that it can be displayed on a big screen was attracting my interest , my hart is not set on it yet that's why I wanted to hear if is worth investing on one and if somebody had actually used one, my plan over this winter is to setup a dual battery system with a solar drip charge all I need now is the second battery I have everything else and have the ipad or tablet mounted and plugged in , I haven't heard of the Raymarine Wi-fish thanks for the advise, will look it up now. I haven't discarded the thoughts of buying a normal unit yet to replace my Eagle, I think that will be the sure way to go but it is interesting that for such low price I can setup something close to those units costing over 1k
  4. Hi all I was looking at fish finders for sometime now and came across the T-BOX SP200, for the price and good reviews and the fact that can be integrated with Navionics charts together with a big screen such as a tablet or IPad it really making me want to buy one but I'm still not 100% sure if investing on it is not going to hit me in the ass. The reviews I have read and seen in youtube seems to come from the same people advertising it so I'm wandering if anyone here with more experience has one and what do you think about this transducer?
  5. Great thanks that gives me a pretty good idea of what to expect, yes iPad is HD at $63 or so but the HD is the same as the standard just to make the map more readable on the bigger screen, thanks for the pricing... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. NaCIH20K9 I'm using the iPhone app and looking to goi platinum on my iPad when I get my transducer but I noticed prices between the iPhone and iPad maps differs quite a bit, what are u using and how much was the upgrade cost I can't get a price on my iPhone for some reason Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I've been looking into this myself and found this quick tip below but what will be the cons of having the dual connection straight to a panel with out the battery switch ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Sorry tef1on for the "reborn" I use this thread to ask about the wifi transducer I'm interested if some people is using the sonerphone transducer integrated with the app , this set up is real cheap compare to the over $1k sounders. about the sleep mode I wish the app had its own setting to twig Grug85 I'll be buying one as soon as I get the money from the missus lol... Will let you know how it went , thanks for the feedback guys...!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. When I came across this app I decided I’m going to mount my IPad for better viewing, the only setback I have it does not stay on all the time, there is no settings on the app itself to stop it from going to sleep while navigating but that’s not a big issue, what I like and I’m going to buy is the Wi-Fi SonarPhone SP200 T-BOX transducer, so far I had seen good reviews this fish finder that also links up with the Navionics app and enables you to view the live sonar and charts on split screen or by itself. Just wandering if somebody is using it, I like to hear how it compares to a normal fish finder and if is worth buying it…
