Hey guys and girls Heading upto Hawkes nest this weekend taking the boat up and need some advice, Heard of some decent flathead and bream in there but where would the best places to fish be? And do they get Jewies there if so where abouts lol, And will it be worth taking some crab pots up with me? Thanks in advance TomHunt

Thanks Paikea, I have heard about port hacking some nice port hacking having some top oyster spots and also heard about Burrill lake had a mate head down last year and fatten himself up lol I was chatting to a friend yesterday that told me that his dad and him use to get tons of mussels from lake macquarie he is going to try and get me a map lol because I was going to head up there in 2weeks for the next prawn run anyways AND PIPPIES!!! no one wants to share their spots its not like I will take them all haha a few years back I heard of a pippy ground somewhere in the hawesbury but do you think that guy told me where it was?? NO!! not after a easy feed just like the idea of being a hunter gatherer haha

Hey Guys and Girls Been quite a while since I have posted on here anyways. I need help a friend of mine and myself were having a chat with a few bevies the other night and both being massive favs of Mussels, pippies, oysters and just about anything in a shell we thought it might be fun to head out and Gather some of our own, can anyone please guide me to a good area for any of these? close to Sydney would be great but dont mind road trips either most interested in the mussels but love it all so any help would be fantastic !! Hey Guys, I have a trip planned this weekend to Fairy Meadow and I am keen to take my beach gear for a bash. the only thing is I have fished this beach heaps of time with little to no success everytime, so wanted to check to see if any of you have had any luck or heard any reports of how the fishing is going down there at the moment. I have tried just about every type of bait and set up so if you have anything that works please tell Ive tried Squid, Pillies, Slimey, Yakkas, Poddys, All hoping for something big Jewie maybe lol and I have also had smaller gear out with Prawns, worms, Nippers, pillie pieces and no luck what so ever Oh once a bream, Now before I give up on this Fishless beach I want to give it one final hit this weekend. So Help A Brother out???

I have got Heaps of nippers in spots around Lake Illawarra and while your doing it chuck out a poddy trap there is always a few out there,

Prawns, Mussels, Pipies and Occys any where from wollongong to central coast Im always out and about any ways, I was hoping to use these for both Bait and a feed so lol Im not interested in the Mussels in the harbour, any help would be great guys maybe spots and different tactics would be awesome Thanks guys Tom

Mate to be honest with you it can be a pretty good spot buttt...... its a tricky spot. i use to fish it heaps and i have found if i am on the Gosford side headin to sydney I fish on the left side of it there is a nice hole there that i have caught bream, flatties and little jews and if you fish the sydney side i would either fish on kangaroo point or walk down river around 200kms on the rocks. you will find my rock where i took my old mans drill and drilled out rod holders pretty much everywhere lol, that can also be a very good spot. if you try that spot let me know if you find my berlely bucket ''spewing'' first time i used it and i lost it lol

Great Report Smitty. I personaly was never aware that Silver Pearch were caught that far out mate, Sure is good to know, also Smitty dont take the Stupid, unacceptable, waste of time and just plane unfare coments or replies that certain people sometimes state on this forum seriously, he has also made silly coments to me and made me feel kind of stupid (must be one of those people that get off on making people feel down I reckon anyway), This forum has been put together to share positive reports (which you have done) and to also meet and chat to some great people that share the same love as we do. In my time beening involved in different forums I dont think i have came across a friendlier enviroment over the net then fishraider... Guys you can enter to fish Landbased I had 2x mates that fished 2years ago and went pretty good ay And yes I have been told its just for the weekend. when you guys find out where I can enter can someone Pm me haha Im getting my gear and boat ready we speak

Hey Guys, I have heard stories of Avoca being getting Crazy at times, I have heard of Big Kingies, salmon and just recently a nice Jewie being caught there... I have also heard Live or fresh bait a must mate, this means no servo stops for you haha My Advice to you Beginner is like the guys have said, Pack your gear well mate and remember get in it to win it Good luck Mate Cheers Tom
