Guys and Girls I am really keen on trying to catch some fresh water yabbies/crayfish can anyone help me out? I have heard Lithgow, Colo heights and central coast but i need to know what creeks,rivers or lakes and best spots if possible Please People I would love to try it out Cheers Tom

thanks for the advice guys to be honest with you im looking at the Commander 400 I didnt want to spend that much money but sort of like the look of it I really dont want to spend anymore then $4000 on any boat cause i really just want something to get me out to the bridges and stuff nothing to serious yet its going to be my first boat I would be more interested in a good secondhand tinny to tell you the truth i just dont have much money at the moment and finace seemed a good way to getting something alittle bigger

Hey guys just wandering where about in sydney can i get crabs landbased and whats the best ways of getting them ie.. Bait, traps, times of the year and areas i fish alot of cowan creek and Hawks but i dont mind travelling alittle further for them and fish ofcorse lol im also looking at buying a new trap so i want to make sure i buy the right one please guys help me out Cheers Tom

Guys i will give these recipies ago next time and yes i am a huge fan of Sashimi but i didnt want to want to do it with a bought fish i think i would rather catch one and try it that way haha you cant always trust the markets -
Hey guys and girls, the other day after work i stopped into the Sydney fish markets looking for some nice flathead fillets came across kingfish thought i would give it a go so in saying this i got the good man to fillet it and skin it for me and took it home, the whole way home im thinking they would be nice crumbed and fryed BOY! was a wrong guys wasnt impressed one littlebit it went all mashy and just didnt taste very good at all so i thought i would ask you guys what did i do wrong cause this was the first time i ever cooked it and would like to try it again hopefully in a nicer way i might also add it was also a pretty small fish about 2kilo if that makes any difference any feedback would be make appreiciated Thanks Thomas

Hey guys there is some real interesting stories on the topic and weird lol mine aint as good as yours just thought i would put them up anyways first was a realy fat 37cm bream caught on smelly old steak while fishing at night for eels in the creek behind Unima caravan park second was a bream on a leave i was reeling in and just as i notice i had a leave on my hook im like ok then, then BANG!! 20cm bream smashed it just as i was getting it out of the water scared the crap out of me then last one was acouple of months ago i caught a 20cm Tailor on a hook with nothing on it i think it was because it was a chrome hook and a realy sunny day and because Tailor are bloody stupid fish lol thanks guys Thomas -

Dude i dont realy know how to do a float stopper up that far when i fish with a float i normal send the bait down 1.5m at the most and just use a bead to stop the float how do you use line that far up as a stopper?? And guys im keen to hear anyone elses ways to fish landbased for hairies?? Thanks Tom -

Hey guys, well as the topic heading says what gear do i use for fishing landbased for hairtail Rod weight and length?, line size, float?, and whatever else. I was planning on using my 12ft beachrod so i have more of a cast under my belt but didnt want to look like a sillybilly there so im asking you guys before i go, i dont really need to know to much about the rig because i am buying some of the rigs from the nice, friendly young tackle shop owner i like to call Watto lol anyways guys and girls help a brother any info will be much appriciated Thanks guys have a good day and TightlineS Tom

Guys cunje is one of my fav baits i have caught heaps of different fish with it Bream,Blackies,pinkies,whiting and even tailor infact one of my best tailor was caught on a piece of cunje up at nambucca i think or forster one of those places, its a great bait thats if you get it to stay on i have been told that if you salt it, it works great goes abit like rubber i havnt tried this yet tho i also lost my first and only hook up on a drummer with this stuff i almost cried it was a bigfat one to well guys good luck with using it and start collecting it its no good going bad washed up i know i will be getting some if i find it cheers guys and well done Roberta hope you have as much fun eating the blackies as you did catching them Tightlines Guys Tom -
