Lately in the past month the fish being caught around Clifton have slowed drastically... the Kings have pretty much thinned out although the Frigate are zooming around now and again... the salmon are to be seen seldomly although 2 more were caught on Sunday just before I arrived.. turns out the fisho didn't have a licence and once the ranger had booked him a hefty $220 fine he left in disgust poor guy hahaha.. the joys of being under 18!... soon to change next month.. lol But yer, tell me what you guys rekon.. that's what I've just noticed... Shant

I dont know about that... If you leave the hooks in them they could corrode and further infect the wound which then leads to an earlier death for the fish... The salt in the water helps disinfect the wound, but I'm not sure on any further facts such as the survival rate or the quality of life for the fish... shant.

Yer.. I'm not so sure abt this, sure they have 'pumped' crap into the waterways.. but I think that it's just another reason to stop people from taking more fish from the water as the over fishing and taking illegal undersized fish by many amateur fishers has caused a rapid decline of fish in the waterways.. sad really... But I wouldn't eat from anywhere near the harbour or even under the bridge... just take a look at the water.. imagine if you were living in it.. you wouldnt be going too well... its a shame really on the harbour.. in some places.. The water around Clifton has noticably changed colour from a clearer blue where you could actually see all the way to the bottom even at high tide, to a more murky brownish/ green ... don't really understand why... maybe because of the rain? shant

nice, turning 18 next month myself hopefully ill be able to upgrade some things too congrats shant ps. Clifton was veryy quiet today.. all up 2 salmon caught the whole day :S and they were caught around 4pm! then the weather decided to go against us and rain lol..

fair enough reason, good to see someone's thinking about the future... I've only ever caught one which was about 75cm in total length.. so I wouldnt know much.. shant
