yhanks jeff it was pretty ordinary sat arvo was rough as with swell and current fish were quiet and had to move a few times no decent fish on dark or early morn they came on after 9am water was 17.5 and filthy...rick

Fished broughton sat arvo slept onite then this morn hard to get a fish with cold water and bad seas..bagged out on small reds lost s few better fish got best red 11.00 this morn in 6 fthms of water a fter being blown away 4 times..rick

i run 6lb braid but use heavier leader depending on where I fish..lake mac in boat with big sps I use 20lb nylon trace with light small sps I drop to 12lb...rick

no murrays in WA that I know of..looks like queensland grouper with spots and motly patterning..rick

why is it every wknd I plan to fish it flogs down blows and generally turns to crap.??????25 knots at moment hoping it dies as forecast..surfcams don't look inviting..maybe later in the day fingers crossed..rick

its definitely too low foil looks likehydro sports being curved..i just took one off my 90hp and picked up 3knots..rick

sand away any sharp edge with wetndry or a nail file then put a couple of layers of clear nail polish..rick

good ive seen too many of them doin it out there...we normally bag out in an hour or two then go trolling..boats sit there all day and keep droppin..hope they catch more that are overfishing the mountain..rick

head to a boat trailer manufacturer or boating acc shop buy some split pins and washers and next time you launch boat check all rollers and replace pins if needed..saves finding them missing at wrong time...rick

nice catch..the flatties are hit n miss at moment.i took big neil two weeks ago and managed one fish..my mate got 6 the other morning....ive caught half a dozen flatties on weed they must see it passing quik and nail it in case..rick

im only trying them on bass as I tend to change lures often as where we fish changes so much from pool to pool .the decoy egg snaps seem to be the pick of them at moment .strength for size is excellent..for cod I prefer to tie direct with loop..same for flatties with large sps...rick

im just trying out using small snaps only no swivel less weight and they don't detract from lure action..im using two brands of small oval shaped snaps that lock two separate ways [crossed over clips] they are tiny but rated at 70lbs...better than choppin trace and replacing all the time..rick

talkin with guys at shoalie ramp that went up to gibber and got nothing but barracouta..they ended up goin close and got a heap of sand flatties.....got the reds in my normal area nth of the sisters current running uphill hard nothing at nth isl except sweep haha but its better than sittin on the lounge I was getting withdrawal symptoms...rick
