  1. used to be every week till the brother in-law blew up the outboard on father in-laws and his boat. :ranting2:

now with soccer season started again i have no time im coach for sons team(saturdays) and manager for :wife: team(sundays).training wednesday.

    my daughter does dancing (monday+tuesday)

i wish there was an extra day in the week just for fishing.

  2. I voted for bass,i love the way they hit those surface lures(also one of the only fish i have managed to catch regularly on lures.)the other reason is i love the country they are found in.we have a healthy bass population in the campbelltown area,if you are prepared to hike and know where to look....

  3. sounds like a good outing mick..the first fish i remember my dad catching on the beach was a shovel nose shark, have a photo of me trying to hold it up off the ground(about 4yrs old).. what beach were you fishing at?..

  4. After reading numerous posts mentioning bass minnows,i thought i should get some to try..not many stockists in my area, and they never seem to have any...plenty of minnows,grubs..etc...but no bass minnows.... today however :wife: drags me to the shops, which for the first time i had to thank her for.there in local big w i find the elusive bass minnow, only had 2 colors but hey,i finally have some. they are pearl/blue & gold/blk..

Now all i need to know is what is the best way to rig them.most of my fishing is shore based(95%)..i have only used squidgies before, and have a few sizes & weights in there jig heads,& a few finnesse heads..will these do the job or do i need to buy something else..any help will be appreciated.

    stephen.....

  5. my :wife: grandfather is down at the moment from iluka.he wants to buy what he calls 'fish clappers',but we cant find them anywhere.he has decribed them to me as having plastic covered handles like scissors.the section that grips the fish is metal, but curls around into a loop.one of my local stores knew what we were talking about, but said he didnt think they made them anymore.the :wife: grandfather is 84 and still fishes frequently,he owns standard straight grippers but doesnt like them. does anyone know where i can get a pair?...
