  5. I am a die hard EELS supporter. I thought the Hayne incident at normal speed was ok,It looks a lot worse in slow motion. I agree there were some bad calls, but i think it balanced out in the end.The bulldogs were shocking in the play the ball for the whole game, just laying there getting in the way, very slow to clear the ruck. In the end the EELS were the stronger side. GO THE MIGHTY EELS!!!!!!!! Stephen
  6. What a great game last night by the MIGHTY EELS!!!! It was a great game to be at,the atmosphere was amazing. It sounded incredible near the end of the game to have 28,000 EELS supporters chanting "bring on the bulldogs"

  8. This brand spanking new Airbus 340-600, one of the largest passenger airplane ever built, sits just outside it's hangar in Toulouse, France, without a single hour of airtime on the clock.... Enter the flight crew of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) to conduct pre-delivery tests on the ground, such as engine run-ups prior to delivery to Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi . The ADAT crew taxied the A340-600 to the run-up area. Then they took all Four engines to takeoff power with a virtually empty aircraft. Not having Read the run-up manuals, they had no clue just how light an empty A340-600 really is. The take-off warning horn was blaring away in the cockpit because they had All 4 engines at full power. The aircraft computers thought they were trying to take off, but it had not been configured properly (flaps/slats, etc.) Then one of the ADAT crew decided to pull the circuit breaker on the Ground Proximity Sensor to silence the alarm. This fools the aircraft into thinking it is in the air. The computers automatically released all the brakes - and set the aircraft rocketing forward !! With the following result.......... The Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technology crew had no idea that this is a safety feature so that pilots can't land with the brakes on. Not one member of the seven-man crew was smart enough to throttle back the engines from their max power setting, so the $200 million brand-new aircraft crashed into a blast barrier, totalling it. The extent of injuries to the crew is unknown due to the news blackout in the major media . Finally, the photos are starting to leak out. £200 million aircraft meets wall. Wall wins.

    More Knives

Finally manage to take some photos of most of my dads collection of knives. Each one has been hand made. Most of the collection.Kept in a metal case for protection. This one gets its own timber case. This one the handle is made from goats horn.I remember this one took him probably the longest to complete. This knife is approx 40cm long. Home made machete, has seen plenty of use. Dads general use knife, also seen plenty of use. The collection.

  22. Hi Roberta, Yes bandsaw blades do make a good blade,i have a smaller knife somewhere that is made from one.It is the only knife that i actually had some part in the making off. My dad used to work in a factory where they used various blades for paper slitting and used these to make his blades. these pics are of my favourite knife as it was made how i wanted it. Even the sheath was hand made, material supplied by a feral goat which i shot on a hunting trip. My knife. Based on the "bowie knife" style The handle is made from hand cut leather washers and hand cut teflon rings(white). The pommel and guard are brass, the pommel was hand shaped from a solid block. The only part my dad didnt do was the engraving on the blade. I will have to get my dad to send me some photos of the others he has made, there are some truelly beautiful knives in his collection, including one which has a handle made from goat horn. I also have some Gill Hibben knives, which i might have to photograph aswell. Stephen
  23. Thanks for that Roberta, I will have to let my dad know aswell. My dad is very creative and has made several knives,i will have to try and get him to send some photos down of his collection.I will also take some photos of the couple i have Stephen
