  2. Hello Raiders, As you know I've only had a Kayak for 3 weeks. I'm loving it but would like to ask who uses an anchor and what type, or on the other hand why don't you. Been looking into it so any input would be awesome. Cheers Mark.

  7. Wellzy, my mate has the same kayak. Its a bloody heavy unit and on a windy day gets blown all over the place. But having said that if you can get it for$200 or less like most Raiders have been saying I'm sure you'll get a lot of fun out of it. Mark.
  8. Definitely like to know more if you get the numbers i.e., where, what time etc etc. Mark.
  9. Stick with it mate and take good notice of what SP worked and in what conditions. One you work it out you'll ( pardon the pun ) be hooked. Mark.

  11. Hello Raiders, Finally got around to getting a yak. Not an expensive one but it was cracking fun today. Did the first test trip today and loaded it up and went for a paddle with my 9yo daughter. Managed all my kit, 3 rods, a net, water, food, tackle and a buckets etc etc. Cant wait to get out there again and throw a few lures and SP's around. Mark.

  18. Couple of good kingies there mate.. my all time fav sports fish. Mark.
  19. I personally change to better treble and crush the barbs on those but not on my regular hooks when baiting. I but a good quality stainless type that wont rust. I too like SP's but if I use hard bodies I only leave the rear hook on. In regards to releasing the fish, I believe its simple just to do it as quick as possible and support the weight of the fish from the belly especially if its a larger specimen. Cheers Mark.
  20. Nice Bass Rah, wish they were that fat in Manly Dam. Mark
  21. Hard to say if it was a shark but that's a nice Haul mate. Mark
  22. I remember reading about Galaxias on the information board at Manly Dam, climbing Galaxias to be exact and they do look like baby trout.
  23. Same happens to me with my 9 year old.. not even trying or paying attention and she always hooks up.. crazy hey
  24. I'm searching around for a fishing Yak as we speak so after that I'll be in for a yak session next time for sure.
