  1. What a haul! We're you using prawns for all of the fish?
  2. Hi Donna, The GoPro was the choice for me because I fish solo most of the time and can't get decent photos. Ill have to look into a remote and I also need to look into editing footage. I think the new thread will get plenty of action from here on in as heaps of people are enjoying their new Chrissy pressies!
  3. That is epic! Congrats and what an experience to share withe the fam! All the servos will be cleaned out of tiny squid!!
  4. After getting home at 2:30am I had a 4 hour kip on the lounge before launching at CC bridge by 7am. Armed with a few live poddies and a range of lures I started under the bridge and drifted downstream with the slow moving tide. I had a small squid bait on one rod with a large plastic underneath as the sinker and a nice flatty took the plastic about 7:30am. Managed to get abit of footage on the GoPro and hopefully it will be uploaded soon at After that things were pretty quiet and I headed up into Woolooware Bay for no touches at all. Lost a few fish on the way to the yak and managed another one for the table on a hard body. Back home at 11am to watch the cricket and snooze on the lounge!
  5. Superb catch Jet and well done on the pics of the release!
  6. You are smashing the flatties! Well done on some top fish, what's the issue with netting them?
  7. Great fat and healthy fish Heath and well done on the light gear. I fished up the end of the bay in the last week for some good numbers of smaller flatties, what depth did you get her in?
  8. Trung, Did you get the squidlies out in the bay or near the bridges?
  9. Trung, Hard bodies came through again.....I find that I cover Moore water trolling and just keep my eye on the sounder to locate likely spots. Bring on the light winds!!
  10. Headed out before 7am on Sunday morning to the lower Georges around CC bridge. Had my new GoPro camera mounted next to my sounder, hoping for some decent footage of my outing. Had a poke around the bridge pylons and then through a usual haunt of a channel but no customers. Decided to head over to the entrance of Woolooware Bay and noticed a fair bump on my heaviest oufit whilst trolling in under 2m of water near some old leases. I reached over to turn on the GoPro and settled into the fight with what felt like a cracking fish. After 2 minutes of me chasing this fish around and a few short bursts of drag ripping runs, the camera switched off.....battery dead I had to get my other lines in as the fish had doubled back under the yak and soon enough she came up from the murky water...big fish! I slipped the front half of her into my large silicon net and she gave me a soaking with some amazing tail beats. I managed to lift her into the yak and got a still photo from the GoPro before it carked it for good. I also slipped out my phone and filmed the release. Without a lie detector, I didn't get an exact measurement but she looked and weighed herself into the 80s. It's my 3rd fish of that size since November and I'm hoping to have some decent footage of the whole fight and release next time. BTW apart from a puffer and a small reddy, she was the only fish of the day!
  11. Go Trung, you are the bay master! Great catches again!

  17. Epic session Trung! What depth were you getting the fish in?
  18. Nice rig Battler and some good fish there. What size and brand is the hull of the boat?
  19. Whoah Dusky that is a serious outing with that many trophies in an outing you must still be buzzing! Great shots too! Can't wait to read more about the lures, depth, terrain and other variables as would many flatty fans! Bring on the YouTube!
  20. Cracker flatty there and I believe the sand flatties are better on the plate that's duskies....let us know how they are on the chew!
  21. Great report Dan, yes the flatties do eat their smaller models. In my younger days, before i was aware of releasing fish over 60+ , i took a 90cm flatty that had a 30cm model curled up in its stomach!
