Yes I am aware of the need to have a monitoring device in the vehicle So I believe that due to the NT smart alternator I will need to fit a DC to DC charger in the vehicle.

Need some information on 12 pin socket wiring please. For an Easytow trailer with electric over Dexter hydraulic breakaway brakes the wiring diagram states that pin 8 is battery supply (30amp) and pin 10 is earth (30 amp) My question is, is this for charging the breakaway battery and if so that means I will have to fit a DC to DC charger on board the tow vehicle (it is fitted with a smart alternator) but if I was to charge the break away battery with a battery charger regularly can I do away with these 2 connections.

Does any one run 2 transducers with only 1 screen and if so how do you switch between transducers. I see Lowrance used to sell a change over switch but it is no longer available.

To tell the difference between Gummy and School sharks: Do small southern NSW Gummy sharks still have the white spots on their body. Do School sharks have teeth.

Just confirming that this is an ocean perch and do they have a size and bag limit for NSW

I have a Lowrance HDS8 Gen 1 with the original supplied transducer. I am quite happy with the Gen 1 but would like to upgrade the transducer for deeper water performance and fish ID. I have been looking at the Airmar T258 1kw and the Airmar T260 1kw My questions are will the T258 give me a suitable improvement instead of spending the extra for the T260 and would it be a waste of money giving that I have an older HDS

Hi JonD no not the case at all this is the first time I have had to get back to the computer. Thank you so much for the marks it is most appreciated tried them out on Wednesday and picked up 3 king fish all under size but what a great fight cant wait to land a legal size! Also picked up 2 snapper and 4 mowong one at 46cm a great time was had by my son in law and I. So I now that I know where to go it is great to see the structure and know you are in with a chance. I am assuming that all the tap tap bites and brake offs were either toad fish or leather jackets. We also landed our fair share of rock cod and wrasse. Cheers Bloggsy.

Also I put the coordinates from GeoffP04 into a map on Google and it looks like the general area thanks so I will be interested to see the comparison with JonD

I am trying to find a GPS mark for the Fowl House reef off Montague island near Narooma Bermagui. I am aware of the general area but would like a GPS location to be exact.
