i am also new to fishing but what i have worked out it is very dependant on what you are fishing for and what type of bait you are using. from my experiance if you are fishiing for flatties you would want to keep the bait moving across the floor because this is where they lie. though i may be wrong

hi there all, i just purchased a shimano curado from fishraider Sammy0884 thanks mate. i was woundering on how you get a good cast from a baitcaster. this may be a very basic question to ask though i am new to fishing and have only ever owned spinning reels. i have very little to no idear on how you should operate this reel and the guys i fish with Know less than me and i know very little. so can some please help me out so i can a catch a fish with my new combo thanks

well thanks too everyones help, i have got a varity of two and one peice rods now which should fill every ocassion, just about to buy the 1 piece version of my rack raider from anothere member on this forum. but thanks for all of the replys and now lets hope i can start catching some decent fish

thanks for the reply, because the 1 piece are harder to transport, this was the major factor in me buying a 2 piece especially if you go hikeing. thanks

Hi as you can see I am new to the forum and to the sport of fishing. I was just wondering if there is any benefit of buying a 1 piece rod over a 2 piece rod. I recently bought a 2 piece rack raider which is great but I know that they make the same rod in a 1 piece and was just wondering if there is any benefits over it’s 2 piece version thanks mark
