  2. Hi Mate I had the 2004 stejcraft monarco 6.4 exactly the same hull poor riding boat in the ocean slapped around on every little bit of chop poor windscreen design need to be 6.6 feet tall to see over the dash comfortably very poor fittings i think all made in china {not that theres anything wrong with that} gelcoat was very thin screws came out everytime i went out seats constantly came loose it was hard work maintaning this boat due to the poor finish i bought brand new and only held on to it for 4 yrs due to to many minor problems .i think the worst part though is they look great when new but tired after 2 years i now have a 5.4 metre aluminium centre console and feel a lot more safe at sea in this than the stejcraft cheers
  3. hi all the trout will be in the nepean but not worth going yet water is so high went for a look early today best to wait till water drops dramatically then fish the lower side of the weir with spinner baits or worms ive had succsess with this method years ago before the drought cheers
  4. here goes for my story was about 18 months ago was going out for an early morning fish 3am had a late night not enough sleep my boat was 6.5 meter with 200 litre fuel tank had about a quater tank so wanted to fill up for a full days fishing got to the servo early in the morning still half asleep pulled out the pump started fueling up laughing with the mates not concentrating at all pump stops excellent full tank around 190 dollars worth of fuel still laughing with mates put pump back in holder something clicks ohh f--- i say to my mates i think i filled up with deisel nooo they say jump up on the side of the boat smell the fuel yep filled up with deisel off to home disapointed no day out decided to empty fuel tank big job take up floor undo the fuel line and dump all the fuel into 20 litre buckets after about two hours dumping fuel in my yard tank is empty off to the servo again to fill up so that the boat wasnt empty that day cost me about 500 bucks and didnt get out of penrith

  14. hi all i used to fish garie on a weekly basis it is very dangerous i used to fish a place called the deck it was on the north side between garie and watermolla amazing fishing there at times with salmon tailor trevally brim big kings blue groper snapper and jews all caught here{that was 20 years ago dont think it would fish like that again } the downside of fishing here is how dangerous it is we used to have a 20 litre plastic drum tied off to the old railway track that had been hammered in to the rock so if you ever went in and were lucky enought not to get dragged under the rock you could throw the plastic container out to the person in the water and get pulled back to safety. i was there one day and the water was so flat it was amazing but like people say watch for the freak wave we allways watched the water but this day we copped the freak wave it went right up to our chest luckily there was only two of us on the rock so we could both hold on to the railway track it was the scariest thing i encountered as a rock fisherman sort of gave it up after that bought a boat instead hope this gives you an insight to this spot cheers

  21. hi there garie is the way to go i fished there for many years both rock and beach dont recomend the rocks if you are only new to this the beach fishes best when there is a bit of swell around best place i found in all my years there is the most northern end of the beach about 50-80 mtrs down from the rocks i used to fish here very often with good results sambos ,tailor ,bream and also got a 25lb jew here many moons ago best of luck down there dont forget gates open at 7.00
  22. just bought a new aquamaster centre console excellent boat after owning a 6mtr glass boat 2004 model bought that new aswell . i liked the glass boats ride but lost to much space being half cab very heavy when towing lot more work keeping looking good ie polishing waxing getting fish guts off aluminium boat easier to tow more economical more fishing space easier to clean dont have to worry about it when putting up on a beach and its quite quiet aswell i was a bit worried when i bougt it that it was going to be noisy very impressed with the new boat
  23. i had a 2004 model bought brand new they are carbie oil injected very reliable never had a problem with it but i allways used the johnson/evinrude oil 50 blend then the xd 100 synthetic two stoke oil when it arrived they dont smoke or smell on that oil i used garage oil once when i couldnt get to the boat shop to buy some oil bad mistake smoke and fumes were terrible i had it on a 6.4 mtr boat went very well 65 plus klms per hour but fuel economy not to good with WOT got pretty good economy running about 4000rpm
