Should the trap be placed in an area where the water is very still ie/ no current flowing? It seems to me that the most important part is where you place it. I have only tried a couple of times and not had much success.

Hi All, My 3 year old daughter got her 1st fishing rod yesterday(a Lisa Simpson special), and we are planning a trip to the Woronora river, near the bridge i think.(this is nice and close to where we live) I haven't actually been down there, since i moved to Sutherland, so i'm not sure where to go. Anyone know of a good spot to catch something small, as i'm sure she'll get bored if little fish aren't biting and making it interesting. I get the feeling she is going to drive me , but it will be worth it to see her face if she catches something. Thanks Milts

Hey fellow Raiders! I recently moved to Sutherland, and have been told, fishing under the Como Bridge is a good spot. I had a quick drive around there, but can't see how you actually get down to the waters edge. I assume you need to hike a small dustance from somewhere nearby. Anyone know how? Milts

Hi, I am thinking of heading up near Davidson Park this weekend, and throw around some SP's for a jew. Any suggestions what SP i should try? Milts

Headed out from RMYC at about 6:30am, tried for some squid at Taylor Point......zip. Went to Palm Beach flats to try for squid again.......zip. Headed over to Flint & Steel at about 8:30 am for a 10:30 high. There were tailor busting up everywhere, so got as many livies as need, and even managed a decent sized mackeral, and some yakkas. Put out 4 baits, squid (store bought) 2 butterflied tailor and a live yakka. Lots of little things picked our baits to bits, but no Jews Once again, nothing decent caught at Flint & Steel. Bugga

Bloody Nora!.....some of you have amazing amounts of gear. I have only been fishing for 1 year now, so haven't collected much gear. I have 3 rods, 4 reels, maybe 10 lures and a bundle of different SP's. And my wife thinks that's excessive

for 300m i've always paid between $80 -$90. for 125m usually $30 approx. I don't tend to shop around though, just buy at the closest place.

Got that in Pittwater. Didn't weigh it though. Better get me some scales.
