  3. Hit the Bay this morning the plan was to spin up some flathead first spot turned out to be a fizzer, moved to spot 2 on arriving noticed what we thought were chopper tailer flicked a S/P out got buster off big time ,bloody big tailer I thought flick out another S/P and came up solid after a torrid fight some 10 minutes later managed to land a 65cm king ,as we only had spinning gear 8lb braid and 10lb leader we got busted off a few times before they departed ,we then went back to the flathead we caught around 20 some under size kept 13 which ranged from 40 to 55 cm all in all a great morning

  10. Hit the Bay at first light spinning around the channel markers at port Botany got a couple of hook ups landed one it went 63cm[forgot to take pic] after that the kings would follow the lure to the boat but would not take it, so decided to spin for flathead went to croynes at Kurnell caught at least 20 flathead only 6 were keepers 40 to 50cm but while doing this managed to get another king but as was I only using a 3kg leader it was quite a struggle he almost spooled me on the first run so I chased him with boat until I got some line back it took about 10 minutes to get him to the boat he was exhausted and so was I ,he only went 61cm so back he went but I did remember to take a pic all in all a very enjoyable morning
  11. Got back on friday afternoon had a great time the fishing was't terrific but everything else was managed one nice jew ,but the place was alive with hammer head sharks,at one time we had them schooling at the back of the boat like yellowtail ,also soapy jews took any small baits not mention the cat fish and eels , We are allready planning our next trip

  13. Heard all the talk about the kings at Molinaux point thought I would give it a go ,left the ramp at 7am and tried to find some squid but after an hour or so with no squid decided to get some yellowtail which were a lot more obliging so with seven in the tank off we went to Moll Point there were only three other boats there so we anchored on the point and put the yakkas down one on the bottom and one top while we were waiting for the kings to show up we caught some trevally and bream after about an hour my yakka the one on top goes off thought it was a king but after a couple jumps a fat salmon is boated and released things went quite for a while and then my mates bream rod goes off big time after about 5 minutes Darby lands a rat king [about 50cm] we no sooner get that back into the water when his yakka on bottom gets big hit and screams' off ,the way the rod is bending and the drag is screaming it looks like a good king ,after about 10. minutes and some fancy rod work he went around the anchor rope twice we managed to land a very healthy 88cm king , Darby [barnacle bill] was pretty pleased with himself ,it went quite after that so we called it a day we finished up 6 trevally and a couple of bream ,all in all a good mornings fishing

  18. Fished the Bay yesterday ,tried for bream early but had no luck, then went for a flatty spin along the front at Brighton it was very slow a couple of small fish, the wind was starting get strong and cold so I thought I would give it away, but before I did I thought I would try a new gulp lure called cajun chicken fist drop gets a solid hookup and a nice 60cm flatty, tried for another 20 minutes but never got a touch, and wind getting stronger so I called it a day The Bay seems a little slow as far as the flattys go latley ,well for me anyway
