  1. that's it right there mate! good post.
  2. hi,i have 13s on my trailer and i have no trouble at the ramp,in fact i find it easier to see when to stop as i never submerge my axle and bearings.the boat [5m] slides off with no worries.if your using 8s or tens they are much more likely to get wet.of course,some people will just submerge the whole trailer and think nothing of it,i always cringe when i see that.[i'm refering to people with smaller boats here, those with bigger, heavy boats have little choice]. combine that with the fact that the bearings in a smaller wheel have to work harder[as mentioned by angler07] and you have potential problems.9 times out of 10 when i see a trailer broken down at the side of the highway,it'll have smaller wheels.of course the simple solution to this is to repack your bearings more often,but it's a messy job and and if you keep the bearings out of the saltwater,you'll only have to do it a 1/3 as often.bearing buddies and like are a big helpbut over time,are no garuantee..just my 2 cents worth
  3. steve....that's definitely a mystery boat!..any photos mate?
  4. nice flattie mate!could be your plastics getting hit by small chopper tailor or similar,any resonable size flatty would swallow that no worries.[still maybe you could go down a size or two and see what happens]
  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWIN 1 & LUMPOOKEY!!! HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY BROS
  6. hi,i use to mix baitfish with squid in my livebait tank, [i figured the squid would be to disorientated to think of their stomaches]but what happened when i opened the lid to get another bait?....my biggest squid happily chomping away on a slimey!I guess it's ok,so long as youv'e got enough baitfish to go around....ps,i now use a removable divider made of flyscreen when keeping both.
  7. should be called "potbelly pig"point! {2nd photo}
  8. g'day mate,hope you have a fun weekend!if juno or flint&steel are crowded or if there's a bit of a swell,you might like to try gunya as a back-up[run out tide].you can catch live bait there too.just anchor in behind the rocky point and cast your baits out ,make sure your on the sand or you'll get a lot of rubbish.you can also fish for bream while your waiting for the livies to go off.
  9. that's it ray,neither of us got out much this year. but let's hit it hard in 08 cause life's to short and fish or no fish-a day out fishing is a day well spent!!!

  14. hi raiders,i was recently given this victa outboard from a mate who knows nothing about it's past.it's complete bar the exhaust muffler.the motor is a simple one cyl.air cooled 2-stroke which is ceased.i'm thinking of rebuilding it[i'd like to see this thing running].my question is,have any raiders owned one of these? how did [or dose]it perform?how loud was it?was the jet flow setup comperable to a standard prop?when were they sold?[i'm guessing mid 70's]and how much were they?any info would be much appreciated.
  15. fantastic! well done mate,a fish like that certainly makes up for all the fruitless trips!..[ps.those r some wide shoulders u got there"ha!].

    undefined hi guys,anyone know where i can buy some reasonably priced perspex to replace my sun damaged windscreen? it's flat, not moulded so it doesn't have to come from a windscreen specialist. thanks.colin.
