I have a 40 hp 2 / and its fine, Id love a 4 / but if it were the perfect boat I wouldn't let the fact it was a 2 / stop me buying it.

After a big win last week the Scone Brumbies are looking the goods but this weekend is the local darby with arch rivals Muswellbrook. There is no love lost between the two clubs so it will a tuogh match. But it should be a great game of rugby. GO BRUMBIES

No fishing cause I got footy on Saturday, then will watch the Lions V All Blacks. Im a true blue Aussie but Go the Blacks, hope they smash up Johny.

Thanks boys, dacobra Hawks Nest and Port Stephens has got to be one of the best places Ive been. Can Not wait till I can get down there again.

Had the long week end in Hawks Nest at a mates place. Saturday left tea garderns at 6am on a charter for the day. Very rough out side with the northe westerly only managed a decenct Snapper and a coulpe of good Mowong. They were cooked wraped in foil with lemon and garlic on the BBQ and were sensaisional!! Sunday arvo dropped the boat in the river and went down to Corrie Island on the run out and mamaged a dozen or so good flatties couple of bream and a few whitting, a flounder and 2 leather jacket, all fish were released. Back to the same area on Monday morning for more whitting and flatties but they were alot smaller and all went back to grow for next time. All up It was a great weekend and an awesome place. Not really the area in front of the camping grounds is feature less mud bottom so you usually pick up a carp if using bait. But thats about it.

Maybe heading to Port Stephens for the long weekend. Need help on where to go, never been before. Fishing from a 3.5m runabout so needs to be river or bay. I was thinking Myall river or close by because will be staying near Hawks Nest. Any help will be awesome. Cheers Weasel

Im heading down the coast this weekend and I have never put my beast in the salt, apart from flushing out the donk, what else should i do when she's back on the trailer.

LW if your prepared to do some walking you should be able to find some where on either the western or eastern shore. Also there are some spots on the Hunter River down stream that are worth a try. If you follow the road back to Aberdean where the river crossing is looks fishy.
