  2. Bar crusher make alloy rod holders. I think they are close to 30' and very sturdy. I paid $25 each about 12 months ago. No more corrosion issues.
  3. Hi Dangas With a lot of exclusive and gated communities now being built they can have quite restrictive covenants placed on them dictating things such as facade design, fencing types, colour schemes and even parking arrangements. It is all about amenity and property values. You should have received a copy of by laws when you purchased if not get a copy from the stata committee and read it thoroughly , fine print and all. Hope it goes well for you. Steve

hi guys I hope i am not breaking the site rules here . If you pass through Salamanda there is a large servo with a bait and tackle shop attached. I have found there advice pretty helpful.
  7. If you cant live with the smell store them in a container in fresh water. I have been experimenting after a packet developed a hole and after 2 weeks in water they are as fresh as the day they where purchased.
  8. Hi You didn't mention what size the rim is but if it is 14 or 15 inch there is a good chance that is a run of the mill holden or ford rim which you should be able to pick up from a local wrecker with tire for a couple of bucks. If it is one of those small tire rims you might have to go to an auto or caravan, trailer accesories store. Steve

  11. Hi Olitay Thats a nice looking boat your looking at. As for towing it with the Forester FORGET IT... The foresters suspension is way to soft in the rear. I have a quinnie 475 center console and this is to heavy for the foresters suspension. I ended up buying a hilux for towing duties. Good luck with the search. Steve
  12. I dont think the phone has an inbuilt gps unit.I think it operates by using triangulation of the phone system towers which may be good but not as accurate as a stand alone gps unit. Steve
  13. Find yourself a sheetmetal worker or an alluminum fabricator and they should be able to bend up a suitable bracket drill a couple of holes and you should be in buisness. Then all you need is a couple of plastic wedges and your done
  14. if the guy lives in the eastern suburbs there is a good chance he has a tag in the car
  15. I have been pondering that question for a while now as I would like to give it a try. Hopefully there will be some positive replys. You have specified the snapper raider as your rod of choice, what other rods would raiders suggest. Steve
  16. My security solution. Buy a dog, as well as looking after your property and its inhabitants they are also dam fine company. Steve
  17. Then came the biggest headache in the world. Removal of the cones, which ended up being impossible... the drift didn't budge it... a screwdriver did even less... i guess they have been in there since 2002 and simply refuse to come out...they were very very smooth, no lip or scratches.. Hi Sammy I have the same problem the hubs are slightly undersize which makes changing the cones a reel pain in the ass. So after destroying a perfectly good hub and old cones I swallowed my pride and took the new replacement hub and the old good one with a new set of cones down to a local engineering workshop. Returned on Monday parted company with $20 and walked away with new cones fitted to my hubs.
  18. Paul Fenech has done it again and good on SBS for having the cahunas for showing his works. Steve
  19. I thought they where something you had while you where alone
  20. Hi Hazza Red put me onto these. See if you can track down a pfleuger medalist 1-3 kg spin. I have just purchased the 2-4 kg drop shot. The medalists are a graphite blank, Fuji's titanium-framed silicon guides and cork grips. They are an awesome looking rod and have and have a wonderful action. For around $150 they are hard to go past. There are not many left as they are a run-out model and priced accordingly so you might have to ring around. Steve
