  1. Should do Magnus we have plenty of good water heading our way. The past 2 seasons they have generally hung around for 3-4 weeks. We caught fish last year then had 3 weeks of terrible weather & when we got out we still caught them. Whereas the year before we had a good 3 weeks at them. But of course it's hard to predict.. they thought they were in for a bumper season down south but the fish have been out over 120 miles for weeks but I believe there were a few around the last couple of days.Cheers Damo
  2. Hey isofish.. Yes what Ian says is pretty spot on. I have a 6 metre Trailcraft with a 150 Optimax and if I steam out to the shelf then troll all day and steam home doing a 12 hour day we average about 12 litres per hour. The trailcrafts have great range with 250 litre tanks. The fish around browns were yellowfin & the bluefin were wider by 15 or so miles. Good luck if you get out. Cheers Damo
  3. More fish today guys off Sydney.. saw one that went 93kg. Cheers Damo
  4. Hi guys.. yes the fish turned up in good numbers & we released one approximately 80kg after 1.5 hrs. Cheers to the boys that radioed us letting me know they were hooked up. Hope you got them both. Marquis got 3 fish next to us but other boats around us did troll all day & hook nothing. Didn't hear of any fish over 90kg & they seemed to range from 50-90kg. Heard yellowfin being caught inside us near browns & a few bluefin off Shellharbour so looks like more to come. Weather forecast isnt great up if you want to book a charter let me know. Cheers Damo
  5. Hey mate.. We haven't been out since the PH100 but plan to have a look around this weekend. The water is improving & hopefully we will have some better reports after the weekend as I'm sure there will be plenty of boats out. As soon as it looks good I will put a couple of dates up for Fishraiders. Cheers Damo
  6. Very good chance of fish later this week. We will head out Saturday for a look around. Cheers Damo
  7. Hey Luc.. At least you have your first one for the season well done. How wide did you get? What were the water temp/current doing? Cheers Damo
  8. Well guys the news is great. Commercial boats off Bermi/Eden over the past week have caught albies, yellowfin & bluefin. Today better info of fish off ulladulla tells us they are definitely pushing north as we predicted over 2 weeks ago. Forecast bad weather with some good weather following after & that should be our first push off fish off Sydney in a week or so. We haven't taken any bookings as this is the news we have been waiting for but if you want to book a date let me know. Will keep you informed as we hear more! The full moon again seems to be the best time for the bluefin! Cheers Damo 0407113349
  9. Could be for sure the picture is very hard to tell from.. a few other factors to consider. What lure did it hit?.. what was the water temp?.. Did you see the fish before it took the lure?.. What depth were you in? The video should show better hopefully Cheers Damo
  10. Striped marlin but it's a very difficult picture to tell from. Main reason for me is the height of the dorsal fin. Lower jaw is short & wide which would lead me to a blue but the angle could be misleading so I will stick with a stripe Cheers Damo
  11. Cheers Luc I will keep everyone posted on here. Don't worry either about us not knowing the area as Narooma is my home Port & where I grew up fishing. Cheers Damo
  12. Hi guys.. Thanks for the replies. You would need to organize your own accommodation & we will keep the same costs as off Sydney. It will be $1900 for the day or if we organize a group of 5 the cost is $380 per head. At this stage we will just wait & see what the currents do before we make any decisions. Cheers Damo
  13. Hi guys, We are considering taking Reef Magic to Narooma or Bermi depending on what happens with the tuna this season off Sydney. We are interested to see if any raiders would be interested in chartering down there? Cheers Damo
  14. Hey mate.. I will post up on here for the group charters. Cheers Damo
  15. Quiet today with about 50 boats fishing & 6 marlin tagged a few sharks & 2 nice yellowfin over 50kg were caught. We managed to release a rather large log! Cheers Damo
  16. Hey Rob.. We are fishing tomorrow in the PHGFC so will let you know what's happening. Hope you guys are keeping well! Cheers Damo
  17. Hey guys, With the weather looking great & keen to get back out we are fishing the comp this weekend. Any raiders fishing in it? Cheers Damo
  18. Hey guys.. sorry for the late reply. We have been busy working on the boat & getting ready to put new electronics next week so no fishing for us. Reports from the weekend showed good numbers of dollies still around & the water still hitting 23 degrees. There were a few tuna about off Sydney but still the ones we have had all summer no the cooler water models we can expect to see in the coming months. Still some stonker blue marlin about between 200-400 fathoms. There were some yellowfin on the cold finger of water off JB over the weekend. We will be fishing the Port Hacking 100 comp this weekend so with great conditions forecast we will see plenty of boats on the water & get some better reports. Hey plankton.. you are more than welcome aboard again & yes Ali-g we do shared charters. Keep reading the reports as when it hots up I will advertise group charters on here. The past two seasons we have caught bluefin in the first week of June & have been followed by the yellowfin around the end of the month so hopefully not long to wait now. The charts will tell a lot over the coming few weeks & hopefully we continue to get good reports from down south. Cheers Damo
  19. Mike bought Reef Magic back to Sydney in perfect conditions yesterday after another fun season in Port Stephens. Raider "sailfish" went along for a very action filled trip down the coast. I will let Sailfish tell the story but lets say i need to get a few new lures & the fishing off Sydney was pretty hot! Anyway we are back chartering off Sydney so if anyone is keen for a charter over the weekend give me a call on 0407113349. Cheers Damo
  20. Yeah there have been a few blacks about but medium size models. You really need to pick a spot where you find bait & just stay there. Unfortunately the plague proportions of dollies are making live baiting very difficult wanting to chew on them constantly. Skip baiting the area seems to hold them at bay & let you catch the bigger dollies & marlin Cheers Damo
  21. cheers Stewie..I have updated it as it was meant to be March Cheers Damo
  22. Hey guys we have Reef Magic available for charters this weekend the 15th or 16th of March. Saturday looks the pick of the days as Sunday has a bit more wind. Give me a call if your keen on 0407113349. Cheers Damo
  23. Well the weekend still saw plenty of fish about. The blacks are still solid fish anywhere from 60-100kg. There are a few blues still on the shelf but the current is roaring. We also enticed a nice whaler onto a skip bait & caught plenty of dolphin fish. Cheers Damo
  24. Hi guys.. this week port hasn't been breaking any records but 1 or 2 fish a day is still good fishing. We caught a nice black today around 80kg that put on a great aerial performance for the guys. Plenty of dolphinfish about & the goid weather will see better numbers over the next few days with the inshore areas improving. We will be back out the next 3 days so will keep you updated each day. Anyone fancy watching the roosters vs bunnies tomorrow night? Cheers Damo
