Hey Jason, good to hear from you. It's been a busy couple of months full of life's challenges for sure - hopefully much smoother now going forward. Do you still have enough sinkers?

I think I am still yet to lose one!  I am collecting a bit of lead and the odd V can though.  Things have settled down a bit for me so I should have a few more opportunities for  some fishing fun.

  2. It doesn't matter what the subject is your research is always first class and informative Zoran so thank you.  I will be downloading the app and passing it onto my family members as well.  Dulux's response was pretty impressive and it should be the standard.  I would imagine if you look into the cosmetic companies accounts the marketing spend would be significantly higher than the R & D or customer relation spend.

Your experience struck a chord with me on both counts.  Quite a few of my uncles are painters but one was unable to paint his own house because my Aunty reacts to the paint and for some time after the house is painted so it was better left as is.  My sister has fairly bad skin allergies, has had the chemical tests and has to be extremely careful of the personal and cleaning products she uses.  At work she has to have her own desk and when we go out for dinner she wont put her arms on a table until she has laid out napkins so her skin doesn't contact the table.  I use the Nivea sunscreen you scanned but not on my face as it makes it feel puffy and irritated, maybe I need to take your lead and do some culling myself.

  3. It sounds like you and Maria have had a pretty rough couple of months, it must of been nice to get out on the water and providing some entertainment for your crew.  I hope you get to the cause of Maria's reaction and can avoid it in the future, it must of been very scary for you both.

  4. Kandos had Australias first cement factory that closed about 15 years ago i think.  They have a museum there but it is only opened some days.  Unfortunately those 40kg cement bags looked a little too familar 🤣

Things like that the walks the old mines, logging all interest me so I am easily entertained. It all fits together the dam that makes Dunns swamp pumped the water to the cement factory.  They had coal in one hill, limestone in the other and a cable car joining the two.  Pretty clever really.

There is also a steam train from Rylstone that I would like to go on.  Not sure how often they run it though.

  5. I am interested to see the comments on this one too. It is on our list to go back to when we can (that list is long!).   We have camped in the general area a few times but only spent a little time in Mudgee itself.

Sofala, Hill End, Dunns swamp, Rhystone, Kandos and Carpertee Valley all have something to offer and worth looking up to plan your trip.

Here are some links to articles one of my friends Shayne has written up about our adventures out that way.

On another note how does one expect to buy a boat and take it home with you from the show??? Trailer needs to be registered and how would you think you could get your car in to tow it home 🤣🤣🤣

Just imagine the empty stalls on Sunday with the dealers saying nothing to see here we sold them yesterday but trust me and sign here 😆

Zorans tip about doing things yourself, in a methodical order is right on! I find if someone “helps” is when things go pear shaped, only a month or so ago I was going out in the tinny, my mate insisted on doing things (good intentions) but, it broke my routine and I forgot the bung, a “rookie” mistake, and I realised straight away, but, it just goes to show how being put off can cause you grief.

Absolutely! Help from a regular fishing buddy is great when both know the routine and do their part.  Help from an occasional fishing buddy is best kept in check.

Take your time and go through the procedure and you will have less problems and quicker than most people anyway.  Arrive outside of peak times if boating solo, don't remove the safety chain until trailer and boat is in the water, I carry a spare winch handle, and a set of bung plugs in the boat.   I also carry a basic first aid kit and side cutters strong enough to cut a hook if necessary,

  10. After a few years of not being able to go I plan on heading there over the weekend.  It adds up by the time you add in the other costs but $32.50 for another year of daydreams 💭sounds ok to me.

Last time I went I purchased the cheaper late entry (after 5pm ?) tickets which doesn't appear to be an option this year with online ticket sales.
