Was a guy catching them tonight at rosebay wharf at 8pm he had 7 fish we had no rods but the fish were on the surface and he used a popper thats what he called it and he was catching them into the dark

Good catch of arrows mate but just to let you know they are not calamari the southern squid are calamari. Arrows are more a bait variety but you can still eat them. cheers

Thats a great squid imick you must be a great squid fisho and know your stuff well. What sort or jig did something like that take. That would have to be some harbour record any tips you would like to share for us common fishos.

Thats just outstanding OMG i cant wait to have a go on one of those fish one day is my standard jew gear able to land one of those if your using 10kg. Where can i go for one of those ive been out 2 mile is that enough also i have 15kg line thats what the guy at the shop told me anyway. Thats just fantastic

Wow thats a big squid mick where did you get it was it in the harbour or outside the heads? Do you know of any good bait spots in the harbour for squid and yakkas have tried with not much luck over the years. thanks

Top spot that greewich baths yatching club herd you get kings and jews there as well. At the back of cockatoo fishes well for squid to we caught heeps there last week. cheers
