  1. Wow those shots from the kite are great. Gonna have to get myself a gopro. just out of interest how do you keep the camera stable and not spinning under the kite.
  2. Typical luck for us lately, we were out on Tues and the water up the gibber was beautiful but no bait. Plenty of bait at the vee but most of the 6 boats there were having any joy. Gotta get out there again, who got the 20 Damo?. Cheers Tim
  3. That's it mate, next Tues and Wed look good to go try again.
  4. Dont worry too much diamonndback, me and davo were out yesterday too in the trusty LOCO.That was some of the fishiest water ive ever seen. When we took off for a we went up to the gibber, nothing not even a spec of bait. Current didnt seem too bad nice water but no baait no fun. When we got back down to you guys expected that arvo tide change bite but again 0-0-0. We racked the cue at 4pm and tookoff with the and went to the pub. . Mate were locals and we are doing tough, just pray for that magic april bite :banana:cos we are getting sick of the fuel bills. Best Of Luck
  5. Marty We use the airmar TM260 1KW transom mount on 6.2 metre seafarer. Its a great set up eeasy to mount, the mounting kit supplied with it is very solid. Its performance out wide and at speed is very good. Cheers Tim
  6. Gooday mate, have a look at Haines V19C. they are a very good all round boat. You should be able to get a smick one with a late model outboard for 20 to 30 grand.
  7. Just seems strange to me that a fishing site like this which is very informative and interesting doesn't have a facility for members to buy and sell boats that are obviously set up as serious fishing rigs, as opposed to trawling thru the boatsale websites and weeding out all the overpriced crap. Just my two bobs worth
  8. What do we do next, stop talking about fishing.
  9. Yeah good mate Getting a hardtop put on it at the moment. Have heard of some longliners getting some pretty big fin wide of Browns. Take it easy mate
  10. Hey Monster How you been mate. Good Luck with the fin buddy. Tim

I've caught a few of these up Port Stephens the last few years. A mate of mines a pro fisherman and he just calls them sandys. Good to eat, plenty of meat in the claws.

  16. nah mate all good, holes in top under the v cushion for the v berth. gonna put one of those inspection hatches there, easy to check it doesnt happen again. drilled the hole to fit the hatch. all solid glass inside hole, no exposed ply. sweet as thank f@*#.

  18. Hi all, a mate and i recently purchased a 21 foot seafarer. We discovered water trapped in the front bulkhead of the V berth. Drilled a 150mm hole in top of bulkhead and mopped water up, bout two schooners worth. Filled up anchor well and discovered the water was leaking into the bulkhead via the eyebolt for the trailer hitch, resealed all good.
  19. Any reports from the shoalhaven open. Weather might have been a bit ordinary yesterday.
  20. Great fish, gotta get down there some time.
  21. We use an old skirted marlin lure, fairly large, you could get a cheap one new, rigged on 600lb mono, with a couple of large rubber squid rigged at intervals behind it. You need to keep your eye on it though, cos you dont want a marlin bashing away at it, and nobody noticing. The idea is to throw him a pitch bait.
  22. I tried to vote and screen came up saying i dont have permission to vote.
