  7. You rock mate, never a bad reason to explore- maybe 50% nothing great, but that feeling when you find something new- it makes up for all the arguing with the missus, then hard work hiking into the place, and then the elation when you hook something nice makes up for all of it. Well done mate
  8. Nice one Caddis, I love my Thomas & Thomas Horizon II 8wt! Good to see some Raiders gettin' out in the mountains!
  9. Everyone gets their "version" of info based on BoM....
  10. Oakley with polarized lens like the flakjacket syle. I have used their polarized lenses for over 20 years- sure expensive but definitely worth it IMHO Some of the Smith are also good- sometimes function over style is the best way to go. just try on some brands, whichever fits your face best.
  11. I'd also maybe grab a bottle of the water you catch them in, and if you do not have the test kits, take it to your nearest good aquarium store where you live- preferrably an aquarium dealer that has brackish and marines and get them to test the water for the usuals like:pH, hardness, S.G, salinity etc. If yu have a cannister- set it up and if you are experienced then you know you need to cycle the tank for a week or two at least ( if just using shellgrit/sand etc). Take the temp of the water where you catch them too. Biggest issue is stress, and feeding. Not unworkable, but other than the "cool" factor- any reason why you can't just set traps or net the day you go fishing?.... Love aquariums, almost more than fishing!
  12. This man and his mate should be locked up, and the keys thrown away!
  13. WOW grant, Those Togas sure look nice...well done mate, I'm jealous!
  14. LOL- Mate I have spoken at length with all my co-conspirators about the 30lb monster trout in Burragorrang and the "lucky" people emplyed there that most likely fish the Lake- but, an $11,000 fine which what I have read and been told is very likely- and the fact that the "restricted area" around the lower Cox's and Burra - are monitored "regulalrly"- isn't worth it- mind you this has been table talk every Kanangra Trip- yet, sometimes you need to just dream. No doubt there are monster trout in there.......
