  1. Actually it is/was in "Fisheries News & Politics".

I put it in the "politics" section 'cos it is linked with politics. :(

If I wanted it in the bar I would have put it in the bar. :mad3:

CFD, could you pay me the respect next time and maybe PM me to tell me of the problem of my topic been in the wrong section and from that I will gladly respect your decision to move it or either I could/would have asked you to delete it.

BTW, I think I've been a member of Fishraider long enough to know and understand where topics started by myself should be placed. :05:

  2. I drove to the lake for a look on the way back from Orange last week. The water level is still really low, like 150 meters from the end of the boat ramp befor you reach water. This was just after the rain we had. Problem is the rain fell on the eastern side of the mountains and little fell on the western side to drain into the lake.

    Cheers

    G'day Martin

Sure you have the right lake?

150 metres from the end of the boat ramp would see the lake well and truly empty.

Not doubting you, just shocked as I haven't seen the Lake since before Christmas.

This is a pic from 12 months ago just to show what it was like back then.

At this stage the water was about 1 metre above the end of the ramp.

  3. I think Hooky might like your boat Greg as long as you can accept his offer and throw in a big screen tv for his nonboater(me) :biggrin2:

G'day Greg, take my offer and it's a done deal. :074:

Would love a Nitro/glass boat but actually looking for something like Bills' previous boat, 445 Hornet or similar. Parking space is a problem...........I think.

Your other boat would be good but I also need to think about the space I have left after buying my daughter a car recently. Three cars and a boat means problems...........unless the nitro can fold up and be stored in my chook pen. :074:

Ya can still give Andrew the telly though. The bugger does about as much as you when he's my NB.........he's passed out on the back deck sleeping. :074:

Anyways, I'm gunna suss out what's available. I reckon there'll be some decent boats for sale as the tournament season get's into full swing.

  4. Saturday I was going to go and get some casting practice in readiness for next weekends' ABT tournament on the Parra/Sydney Harbour but since I've changed employers I now may find myself maybe having to work on a Saturday for the first time in eight years. :1yikes:

And I thought I was going to get a haircut as well. :074:

Oh well, I'll know more tomorrow. :05:

Have a good weekend Raiders and good luck with whatever it is you are doing.

    cheers

  5. I use voip exclusively for all my local and national calls.

No monthly contract, no monthly account fee. Just pay for the calls and nothing else.

Calls are a flat 10 cents untimed anywhere in/around Australia.

International "top 40" is 4.9 cents per minute and calls to mobiles is 29 cents per minute.

I get billed once a month for calls made in that monthly cycle and it is usually only around the 3-5 dollar mark.

No problems whatsoever with call quality and I also have all my cordless phones hooked up to it.

    cheers

  6. G'day Rob

I had 94mm in the gauge this morning at 9.00am (24 hour period from 9.00am yesterday.)

Currently there is 36mm in the gauge since 9.00am this morning. :yahoo:

Still pissing down here at the moment too!!

Funny thing is that Camden hasn't even seen half of what we have had. :(

    cheers

  7. Not much for me Stewy. :(

Still stuck in a rut. :05:

Here's hoping that after this weekend it's all go for me on the fishing/boating/canoeing front......hopefully. :1fishing1:

Good luck to all the Raiders and guests who get to dangle a line on the weekend and if you don't, good luck with what you are doing..........enjoy the weekend all.

  8. How simple is that?

I've been thinking of ways to hold all or some of my rods on the roof fully rigged up similar to that and now it's all been solved.

Saves throwing a beach rod with sand all over it into the rear of the fourby whilst fishing off the sand too!!

Thanks for the link Dan, very helpful and very simple.

Now I can get the rods out of the back of the car and out of my daughters' and wifeys ears when we hit the brakes. :074:

    cheers

  9. Not a problem with me as I now use "Banana Boat Ultra Spray".

It's in an aerosol can and you just spray it on like aerogard and no need to rub it in.

It's not cheap but I don't look for cheap when it comes to sun/skin protection. :biggrin2:

As for the sunscreen and bait not been a good combination, I've never had a problem with it when bait fishing at all.

    cheers
