    Hey Guys

    Owen, you speak my language!
  5. where in Sydney can these fish be found to caught! Thanks.
  6. i normally put them in a bucket full of ice.. they don't die straight away. before i go home, take them out and gut them, wash them snap freeze. doing this always makes them the best tasting.
  7. Rising sea levels have nothing to do with tides my friend. Rising sea levels increases the sea in millimeters over many many years. I'm not sure how often king tides come, but they certainly do and it's all got to do with the gravitational pull of the moon. When the moon is closer, it pulls harder and when it's further: the lower tide comes in. your local river had a low tide which resulted in the dry rocks, this is a very good thing when you have a run in tide to catch some fish! (they come for the food in the rocks)
  8. caught this bream, was just over a kg.. in the hacking area - very tasty!
  9. parramatta river has the most dirtiest water in Sydney.

  14. G'day raiders, I went out last night for a couple hours to port hacking to catch some fish, only stayed for about 1 to 2 hours because the waters were so damn choppy and we got no fish what so ever. It was really bad, like 60 km winds - heaps of fish in the water but no bite :| any advice? should i just avoid chopy days at all, or is there something i can do to work it to my advantage?? thanks. Shakeel.

  20. Hey buddy, don't lose hope!!! heres some usefull facts 60% of the time, if you are fishing from land or off jettys - you will not catch a fish. that includes burleying up very well and having the best setup... the 40% that do you catch something also includes 1 fish only caught also within that percentage.. just relax! it takes time cheers
  21. Hello raiders, i was fishing in sydney harbour some time ago, and noticed these fishermen catching large ammounts of taylor with nothing but mince... I became annoyed at the simple fact they were catching fish very quickly and i got nothing! So anyway, without further ado, i then attempted to use mince to catch something the following week... but, i can't seem to keep the mince on the hook it keeps falling off as i cast or even slowly release it into the water... how can i keep it on? i tried lacing it with bread.. no such luck! and that goes for chicken breast too. thanks! Shakeel.
