Congratulations hamerz.....the Georges is certainly going off. By the looks of the location you caught some of those EPs within about 100m of where I caught my 38.5cm EP. I am surprised with your good results considering it was a weekend, should I assume that there was little boat traffic in the area?
yeh mate there wasnt many boats untill around 10.30am but then there was only a couple that came past which pretty much shut down the bite. my mate dropped one that was close to 40cm right beside the boat we were both gutted after. they are such a great fish to catch im addicted now !!

well what can i say the georges is back on and its on for young and old.
had a excellent morinig sesh with my mate nick, armed with nothing but lures we headed up and our main goal today was EP'S.
with all the great reports from fellow raiders in the last couple of days i had an itch that needed to be scratched. so we sounded out
anything that looked fishy and started ramming our lures down 1st taker was my 1st ever whiting on a vibe.
after that we found a small ridge housing a few flatty's no keepers but plenty of them there again on the vibes.
then we hit the mother load we bagged about 15 small ep's in about an hour it was running hot. we pulled the hooks on a ep that was
around 40cm right at the boats edge we werent happy to say the least, after a few curses we got on with the job at hand and kept
getting small eps averaging between 15-30cm. then nick pulled tight to another good fish and the hooks pulled again,
oh well we arent complaining we set out to get them and it finally worked out for me.
im one happy chappy i'll tell you that.
all the fish were caught on vibes and almost all of em were taken on the drop.
they really smassh your lure the aggressive little buggers.
p.s more older brother welcomed his 1st baby daughter into the world last night so im an uncle for the 1st time.
what a way to cap things off.

Small tinny will get you up to tempie station but the trick is to go up on the high and on some sides of the river are sand banks you need to watch out for, id suggest going up with someone who knows the river before heading up on your own.
thanks for that snag, dont no anyone that fish's the cooks but ive been hearing good reports come from there.
might just go for a walk along the river one day see what its like.

wow what a report ive been targeting eps in the georges for ages im hopeless at it. your report just proved they are there in abundance just got look in the right places. great report mate cant wait to see how you go tomorow looking forward to the report.

hey guys just want to know how safe it is to take a boat up the cooks river ? heard theres heaps of submerged things in there, how far up the river can u get before it gets a bit silly ? ive got a small tinny.

man what a report thats excellent, i find it hard enough sounding em out on a boat with live bait let alone with a SP thats truely an amazing feat. im yet to get one on a lure so its defintly on my wish list for the upcoming summer season.

wow how exciting was your holiday im so envious right now, i run my own business and it would be hard to get a couple days off let alone a couple weeks. good on ya for taking the family away mate and resisting your primal urges to go on a "fishin trip" awesome read and great pics aswell. bad luck on the fishing front for yourself lol but always good to see others catching a few and having a great time.

standing on the bridge fishing young guys drive past and throw what ever they can get at ya
mate my dads 2nd cousin was fishing the bridge about 3 months ago and got hit by a full can of beer. he was close to being put in an induced coma he was in a pretty bad way for a couple of weeks he seems to be ok now but has a rather large scar on the back of his head where he was opened up by the can.
becarefull when fishing at night guys some really careless kids around that way.

anyone up for a fish saturday 23/10/10. i'll be launching at revesby national park at around 6am. my boat and fuel just bring a rod and some lures and where set. looking for like minded fishos i'll be chasing ep's bream flatties and hopefully a jew. so if anyones free shoot me a pm.
