Hello

Just wondering if anyone knows the quickest and best way of attaching braid to flurocarbon

Thanks

Double Uni Knot is the quickest and has stood the test of time.

Albright is another you may wish to try .

Check the Knots link at the top of the page.

Cheers Stewy

Hi Guys

New to here but have been fishing a long time and have read this site lots.

As they say a change is as good as a holiday! :1prop:

I like uni uni if they are similar in line thickness or will use a slim beauty knot if the leader is alot thicker.

Here is a link and you can download the movie.

i've gone back to double uni ..i do a 70 turn around the knees bimini ..then a double uni.... taking care that the braid pulls down evenly against the leader.

Hi FishHard,

Most knots that you use to join mono will work, except you need to keep in mind that braid is smaller diameter and more slippery than mono. So you need to at least double the turns you would use in mono when tying braid.

I use the double albright myself (winding the braid both up and down), and find about seven or eight turns each way about right for the lines you're joining.

I believe there is an article on this site which shows how it's tied.
