henryinnis Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Also, do you think they will lift the ban on commercial fishing? hope not!
squidgie Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Kings are still here in winter....just less of them and bigger. Commercial fishing for where ?
Guest IFishSick. Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Commercial fisherman would catch them in large traps on the sea floor. Depleted the numbers significantly.
netic Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 (edited) Mate the kings are here all here round, the main run of the rats are the ones that come in summer and leave in winter............. The ones that hang around all year are usually the larger ones......the next 2 months is the best time of year to target hoodlums around Sydney....so expect many reports of some XOS kings..... Even though they are here through winter i dont target them much as I go out and chase YFT during the winter months.... But im sure you will see many reports of kings through winter.. The commercial ban i feel will never be lifted.......The dioxin threat was what they were looking to put the ban in place as they have wanted to do it for sometime now. Edited March 9, 2007 by netic
sifisho Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Agree - the ban on commercial fishing cant be overturned in the foreseeable future as it would open up the government to all sorts of legal action if anyone became ill and blamed it on the dioxins. No way are they going to do that...
