Penguin
Hi there fellow raiders, Fished the 3rd Runway in the afternoon today, was not the best day to be fishing, but hey I needed my fishing fix b4 the long weekend sees me stuck at work dealing with the big crowds. Hit the water about 2ish and went straight over to our spot. Berley pot out, baits out and the wait is on,but not for long,my rod takes off, after a small tussle a 58cm King is caught and released. Then I hook a Bream, this is chased to the boat by a very healthy lookin King who is trying to swallow my fish.I get flashbacks of losing Bream to Kings at Clifton a several weeks ago.But not this time, this time I win and get to keep Mr Bream. After this I geta blistering run,and think to myself im not goin to stop this, after losing about 70-80mtrs,pop,got some line back in, plus a swivel, but no leader and hook We get a few small Bream, and few just over legal, but send em back. George gets an alright run, applies more drag and turns the fish, after about 10mins, and dunking his rod up to the reel in the drink several times lands a 68cm specimen, hes rapped. We get a few more Bream, and realease those that are under 30cm. Took home 4 Bream and 1 King, enuf to have for lunch 2moro,not bad for a couple of windy hours. penguin George and King Edited April 5, 2007 by penguin
