KingsRule
Quick report from this morning Went down to the the wharf about 5 this morning managed a few tailor and a squid before it got light . About 6.30~7 i saw a whole heap of bait fish scattering down the beach. Ran down and started throwing lures at them , by this stage they were about 30cm from the shore Biig boils and baitfish jumping everywhere. Didnt get a hookup though..couple of hits. The action quickly died , right down the other end of the beach i see it happening again. Sprinted down and a few casts later i was on. (there was a few boils neear the boats that were huge , kingies i suspect) Beached a nice fat sambo of about 55cm. After there was no more action so called it a day about 8.30. Not bad for a couple of hrs:)

abiasin
great sambo mate, those little metal lures in the pic are worth their weight in gold. they produce good fish consistently from little tailor to 65cm kings.

Not bad for a couple of hrs:) Mate, the Salmon were also busting up over at Fairlight. I saw a school from the rocks which must have been 50 metres long x 10 metres wide patrolling the shallow water. They were a decent size too - 40 to 60cm.. They must have been all over the place !!!! Edited May 13, 2007 by Ceph

fishyfingers
nice work mate! the good thing about casting metals into them is that if they don't take the lure, you've still got a chance of knocking them out with it if you DOINK em on the head hard enough!!! Wonders will never cease. Better yet, I had a hook up late in the afternoon and then baaaaaaaaaaang lost him ! I always like o think that the one that got away was a kingy! I can dream !
