King slayer
Came back in for a second look... nice photo editing. Hopefully you won't end up with quite so many people there next time. Even though you said you caught it a while ago, hope springs eternal and there's not limitless room for you at spot X. Still can't get over that fish... here are the rest of us with thousands of dollars worth of boats and downriggers and stuff all getting in raptures over 80cm fish and you put us all to shame... and on 10lb with all sorts of nasty stuff for the big beastie to tie you up in. Truly memorable catch!! Well Said Slinky! That really is a momentus acheivement. 10lb should have failed in a second on a monster like that. It really shows a lot of skill to land that. Good on you Onaking You have us all looking up (to you that is!).
Aloosh
well done on that king..awesome work on light gear. landing just legal kings there is a tough ask, let alone corkers that size. OnAking
Wow!!!! Can you please tell me where you position the hook on the yakka and how deep you put him in the water? Awesome fish!!! Spanker Mate i find the best way to hook em is just through the nose lightly and send it in un weighted or if the current is a lil strong then use a running 00 ball sinker this distorts the swimming of the yakka and slows him down from coming back in ..... also try find the small yakkas ... the theory bigger the bait bigger the fish doesnt apply with kings and yakkas ,,,, they tend not to each big yakkas but big slimies mo worries they love them ... hope that helps

OnAking
mate spot X is most of the time somewhere really common where smaller fish are caught ... you just have to target the bigger ones and be patient
