hodgey.son Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 G'day fellow Raiders, I was trawling through news online today, and came across this interesting article: With a head like a fighter-plane cockpit, a Pacific barreleye fish shows off its highly sensitive, barrel-like eyes--topped by green, orblike lenses--in a picture released today (23/02/2009) but taken in 2004. There is short written piece with links to further information, plus a short video of footage of the elusive Barreleye. Check it out! http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20...releye-picture/ Cheers, Hodgey.son
james7 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 That is one weird fish!!!! The video is great. It still looks too "unreal" to be "real" Amazing! Thanks Hodgey.son (and I wont hold you being Hodgey's son against you ) Cheers Peter
Mik Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Whoa! How amazing is the ocean. Very cool Hodgey.son.
jewgaffer Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Whoa! How amazing is the ocean. Very cool Hodgey.son. Very interesting post Hodgey jnr! ! The transparent head on that fish looks almost human and like a breeding experiment from people from out of space. It would be good if they can be trained to be a hardbody that seeks out and head butts the biggest flathead for your Dad Cheers jewgaffer
Hodgey Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 What an amazing fish! Interesting post mate See you at Easter time!
