0 sportfish
"That's an old boot ... a wirrah cod. they grow up to 50cm's and taste like an old boot" Thats it alright - eastern wirrah, "old boot" caught heaps, some big, but never tried one
0 industrial
that's a wirrah but despite your comments, it can be eaten, just in a different way you can use it to make fish soup/stock or you can steam it. it isn't the best eating but it is edible, and it fetches pretty high prices at asian markets. 0 dinnerbell
What is this fish? Thanks!! Gday Hp Sauce They say you can put the eastern wirrah in a pot of boiling water with a big rock. When the rock gets soft, eat the rock. Cheers Dinnerbell
0 hpsauce
I actually cooked the fish the next evening, Tasted pretty good. My whole family like it! Not too tough at all. However I did get sick the next day, but I doubt it was because of the fish, probably the crazy changes in temperature lately. Hp Sauce!
