on the water early with Dad , start a drift straight out of oatley bay

second cast get a nibble then nothing till near Kyle bay, feel a hit strike , miss , bugger

pause for a sec then bang , zzzzzzzzzziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggg, my Symetre is going off

good fish this and fun on 3 pound line

after a good 5 or 6 mins Dad nets a 42 cm Breambo for me

stoked , beat my old Pb by .5

go back for another drift and change to my 2 pound , 1000 size , 1 kilo stick little outfit

on goes a 12th ounce jighead no.2 hook and a turtleback worm

over a mussel bed and off she goes , little reel screaming it's head off

nervously i put a little more drag on as i have no chance of stopping this fish

nearly 10 minutes have gone by and i get a flash of colour , another big Bream

a few more runs and another great net job from Dad , 42.5cm Bream on 2 pound , lovin' it

a bit later get a big hook-up on a big Flattie , get it near the boat and PING

she wore through my 2 pound leader and won her freedom

all fish released to catch another day

Great stuff Rob and well done on the upgrade PBs! You get some corker bream in that area. If you don't mind me asking, do you drift and bounce the worms over the bottom or give them some action? I have picked up a few good flatties around ther too!

i cast in the direction of the drift , let it hit bottom, couple of flicks, reel in slack and repeat , repeat , repeat
