robeebee Posted November 9, 2009 Share Posted November 9, 2009 sorry haven't posted a report in a while too lazy panorama shot around 10 .30 on my phone camera on the water early with Dad , start a drift straight out of oatley bay second cast get a nibble then nothing till near Kyle bay, feel a hit strike , miss , bugger pause for a sec then bang , zzzzzzzzzziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggg, my Symetre is going off good fish this and fun on 3 pound line after a good 5 or 6 mins Dad nets a 42 cm Breambo for me stoked , beat my old Pb by .5 go back for another drift and change to my 2 pound , 1000 size , 1 kilo stick little outfit on goes a 12th ounce jighead no.2 hook and a turtleback worm over a mussel bed and off she goes , little reel screaming it's head off nervously i put a little more drag on as i have no chance of stopping this fish nearly 10 minutes have gone by and i get a flash of colour , another big Bream a few more runs and another great net job from Dad , 42.5cm Bream on 2 pound , lovin' it a bit later get a big hook-up on a big Flattie , get it near the boat and PING she wore through my 2 pound leader and won her freedom all fish released to catch another day Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you don't mind me asking, do you drift and bounce the worms over the bottom or give them some action? I have picked up a few good flatties around ther too!
